It was getting dark and the jungle was filled with noises, not normal jungle noises but voices and drums that reverberated through the normally quiet jungle. In a small cave, nestled higher up in the hills was a tigress with her cubs. Her eyes were moist as she could hear the poachers coming closer and feared for the life of her husband and children. As she heard them coming closer she slunk further back into the cave and then she heard a shot, a gunshot.... and then quiet, it was as if they had got what they had come into the jungle for. The night drew on, she feared for her husband and all kinds of evil thoughts penetrated her mind, with it complete darkness descended and then she heard a soft growl. She went towards the opening of the cave and found her husband with a dead sheep in his mouth. She was thankful to God for the safe day that He has bestowed on them.

The White Siberian tiger is the biggest cat in the world, and weighs more than 600 pounds. A Siberian tiger is a beautiful, silent and powerful creature.

It's Habitat

The white Siberian tiger lives in cold and snowy spruce forests in eastern Russia and zoos all over the world too. Not only that they also live in swamps and jungles. They only hunt people if natural prey cannot be hunted. Unfortunately, there are only 50 Siberian tigers in China.

It's Physical Appearance

The white Siberian tiger has blue or green eyes. It has a unique pattern on its back that helps us to identify it. These stripes help them camouflage themselves at night and during the daytime too. Tigers have the largest canine teeth compared to all the land-eating animals. They have whiskers that are very sensitive and thus, help them to avoid rocks and trees. Like humans, tigers are warm-blooded animals.

It's Eating Habits

Deer, antelope, wild cattle, wild pigs, monkeys and peafowl's constitute the food of white Siberian tigers. Usually white Siberian tigers catch 1 out of 20 animals that they go after. Tigers mostly hunt at night, If it hunts during the day, it creeps up behind and then gets ready to leap. When it does, it bites the prey in the nerve cord on the spine. The prey does a painless death.

It's Behavior

These tigers leave their cubs from 18 months to 2 years old. They mark their territory by spraying urine and scratching bushes and trees. If the jungle gets too hot, then it takes a swim in the lake and water holes. White Siberian tigers sleep for short times, and have tongues that have tiny spikes on them. These spikes help them get meat and bones off their teeth and paws. They spit, growl, purr, spit and snarl to communicate with each other and other animals too.

It's Enemies

Humans are its greatest enemy. This is because; they hunt these animals for fur, body parts and the head too. The heads are used as trophies, and wall hangers, whereas the body parts are made into medicine.

It's Babies

The white Siberian tiger carries her babies for 3 and a half months, she even holds her young by the neck, but not to worry, this is not painful because the mother only bites in a bundle of fur.

Unfortunately, the White Siberian tiger is an Endangered animal because of loss of habitat and also the fact that they are hunted for various reasons.
