White Chocolate Frosting

Ingredients
  • Softened cream cheese - 12 ounces
  • White chocolate - 8 ounces
  • Powdered sugar - 1 cup
  • Butter (unsalted) - ½ cup
  • Vanilla extract - 2 teaspoons
  • Fresh lemon juice - ¾ teaspoon
Preparation Method

Start with chopping the white chocolate into small pieces. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler or a pan placed over hot (not boiling) water. Make sure to stir continuously till the chocolate melts. As the chocolate melts and get smooth, remove the pan and keep aside. Use an electric mixer to beat cheese and butter, till they get fluffy. Now, add the lemon juice and vanilla extract and mix well. The next step is to add melted white chocolate to the mixture, in small batches (preferably one to two teaspoons a time). Once done with the chocolate, add the powdered sugar (in small batches) and mix well. Your white chocolate frosting with cheese is ready. Refrigerate it before use.

Recipe 3 - With Condensed Milk

Ingredients
  • Condensed milk (sweetened) - 1 cup
  • White chocolate chips - 8 ounces
  • Butter (unsalted) - 8 tablespoons
  • Egg yolks - 3
  • Powdered sugar - 1 cup
Preparation Method

This is a perfect white chocolate frosting for cookies, brownies and cakes. Start with heating the chocolate chips, along with the condensed milk and butter, in a pan kept over low heat. Stir the mixture continuously, till the chocolate melts and get smooth. Once done, remove the pan from heat and keep aside. Take a bowl and add the egg yolks with sugar. Beat the yolks and sugar with an electric mixer, till the contents turn fluffy. Add the chocolate mixture (as they get cool) to the egg yolk-sugar mixture and beat till they form a thick and smooth frosting.
