How to Apply Pink and White Acrylic Nails?
Things You'll Need:
  • Monomer
  • Nail primer
  • Nail prep
  • Acrylic powder
  • False nail tip
  • Pink nail polish
  • White nail polish
  • Nail brush
  • Clear polish
  • Nail filer
  • Nail buffer
  • Orange stick
Procedure to Apply Acrylic Nails
Step 1: Remove the old nail polish from your nails with the help of nail polish remover.

Step 2: The most important step towards successful application of pink and white acrylic nails is to wash your hands thoroughly. Using a hand sanitizer is the best option.

Step 3: Now, using a filer, trim down your nails. Make sure all your nails are of the same length before you start applying the acrylic nails. Avoid keeping long nails, because acrylic works much better on shorter nails. As it is, you will be required to apply false nails, so there is no use of long nails.

Step 4: Using a nail buffer, level the nail's surface. Remember, you will have to remove the natural shine of your nail. You have to basically remove the topmost layer of your nails, which will help in the process of gluing acrylic nails and sticking better. Also, this will reduce any chances of breakage.

Step 5: Push back your cuticles with an orange stick. You can first soak your nails in warm water for a few minutes to make them soft. You can practice this for regular nail care, to keep them soft and clean. Read more on Acrylic Nail Care.

Step 6: Apply a nail prep to remove excess moisture and oil from the nail bed.

Step 7: Apply a coat of nail primer over the nail. When it dries, it should appear chalky white. It might feel unattractive at first, but this is the first step for the best application of acrylics.

Step 8: Take the nail brush and dip it into the monomer and wipe it lightly. Then dip it in the acrylic and get an acrylic ball about the size of a small bead. Confused between acrylic nail and gel nails? Check Acrylic Nails vs Gel Nails.

Step 9: Place the bead on the base of the nail bed and flatten it with the brush. Make sure that you roll it on the nail so that any extra acrylic squeezes out at the top of the nail tip. Brush it all the way towards the tip of the nail. Repeat this procedure on all the nails.

Step 10: As the acrylic starts to get a dull look (it is a sign that it is drying), quickly apply the false nail tip, squeezing it down while holding it carefully. Lightly press the nail tip and hold it for at least 30 seconds. Hold the nail tip until you are sure that it is set, and you can gently move it to check. Now clear the excess acrylic.

Step 11: Now you can trim or file the tips to the desired size and shape. Paint all the nails, except the nail tips, with pink nail polish. After it dries off, apply adhesive to the base of the nail tip. Apply white nail polish to the tip and let it dry properly. Take your time while applying nail polish to achieve perfection.

Step 12: Apply a clear coat of polish over the entire nail and let it dry. Your pink and white acrylic nails are now ready. You can try painting some cute acrylic nail designs after this procedure.

If you want to opt for acrylic nail removal, here's how: Once you are comfortable with artificial nails, you can opt for nail art after a French manicure with acrylic nails. But you'll become better at the application of white acrylic nails only with practice.
