Whispers In The Dark - Chapter 10
The Last One. It's kind of pointless....
Okay guys, last chapter...
I ran into my house, hair flying and a baby in my arms.
BamBam and Silence following behind, taking their time.
"Forever Dusk Legacy, come here now? Where are you?" I yelled, frantically pacing through rooms.
"Here mommy." Said a lipsy three year old, wrapped tight around my legs.
"My little girl... are you ok? She didn't hurt you did she?" I asked, checking her stick-like arms for cuts or bruises.
"No mommy, all she did was stare at Battle, and then Spirit came and bit her. Then Spirit took her out and gave us some blood." She said, gaping at the baby in my arms.
"Forever, this is your baby brother... Jinx. Jinx, this is your big sister... Forever." I introduced them to each other.
Jinx probably didn't understand a word I was saying, but he looked entranced at her, and she held him like he was the most precious china in the world.
Echo and Silence walked into the room that we were in, and she was holding a little girl, who looked about 3.
"Fate, Thunder... this is my daughter. Luna Lullaby Wulf."
"Your... daughter?" I asked... shocked.
"Well adopted daughter. We found her this morning on the battlefield. She's human, but once she's 5, she can choose for herself. Doesn't she look just like Echo?" She asked, not keeping her eyes off the little girl in her arms.
"Honey, she looks just like you."
And it is true. She has Silence's blue hair, to the exact shade it was when she was that age, and she has Echo's big beautiful brown eyes.
That night I held a meeting.
"Friends. We all have children who we need to look after. Whether they be ours by blood, or simply tied by the union of love. Now, the world is a safe place for them, because Black is finally gone. We can stay here, or move on. Personally, I would like to stay here... it's not every day you get a beautiful mansion in Italy, with a beach, a pool, and a badminton court. Also, I want my kids to learn Italian... so make a decision within the hour... and Spirit, you have my eternal thanks. Whatever you decide, know you will have financial safety whatever."
After the speech I left the hall to spend some time with my son. He was in the nursery with his wetnurse, Jenny. She looked after Forever, Bliss and battle. She is also looking after Luna.
He is beautiful... For ages me and thunder just stared at him. Entranced. He is so small, so cute. Just looking at him sleep is enough.
"You made this..." Thunder whispered, holding my hand
"You made this too..." I whispered back, kissing his cheek.
"His beautiful side is yours." He argued, kissing my lips.
"I disagree entirely. He looks exactly like you, and when he's older, we will learn that he gets his stubbornness from me, and that will be all." I said, laughing softly and dragged him out of the room and into the main hall. Ready to hear the decisions.
"We're staying," Kayak informed us first, holding Spirits hand lovingly.
"Staying," Silence said, holding Luna in her arms, while Echo made silly faces
"Staying," said Spectra while checking out a newborn.
"I'm gonna stay," said Electra, checking out a human food bag.
"Of course we're staying, dummy." BamBam cried, holding Battle in one arm, the other on Bliss' shoulder, and Boone's arm around her waist.
"So... we're all staying? Great" I smiled, everyone was grinning. We were a family once again.
