Whispered Dreams - Chapter 14 DÉJÀ VU!!!

(A sort of farewell party for Jonathan)

Zoey's point of view

I was having a great day; Danny was here as my date and I enjoyed his company thoroughly. He was a fun person to be around, after that day in the beach, we talked almost daily. Well it was mostly because Mel wasn't around and Rick and Jake were busy with their summer job. My summer job was baby-sitting Noah and I was enjoying as well but I had to do something when he napped, which was most of the time. So I decided to call Danny up, he seemed pretty delighted to talk with me, even though he was pretty clear that I was in love in Jake, he never took it as an issue, one helluva great friend.

Everybody was here, except Jake and Rick. Mel and Rosalie were preparing the dinner; Jonathan and Danny were really bonding. I was busy with my duty to look after Noah, when I heard our door bell ring. After that stupid dream, I had grown a sort of phobia for door bell ring. If you were near me, you could probably see the change in me, the fear for the briefest of moment.

Though I shook it off, when I heard Rick's voice. I was getting a little melodramatic; all thanks to Danny's awesome company, but my heart skipped a beat when I heard Jake's voice. it was a new thing that happened to me, but it was something I liked. Blush.. blush...

I went downstairs to greet Rick and Jake, when I came to an abrupt stop. Shit!

The girl in my dreams was standing in my doorsteps, she was right there in front of me. And slowly a wind blew off flying her hair with it. DÉJÀ VU!!!

Déjà vu was all I could think of, I think I even mustered it because that chick standing in my door looking all sexy looked at me. I swear I saw her flash an evil smile, okay not an evil smile, but she did smile and I really thought she was here to freaking kill me. If only that chick hadn't seen me, I would have run back upstairs and locked myself up, denying getting out until she left. Hell, I almost did that even if she saw me, but Danny caught me before I could run.

"Hey Zoey, aren't you gonna introduce me to your friends?" he eyed me knowingly.

He was making me introduce him as his boyfriend tonight just for fun, and he wanted me to introduce him to that chick? What? Who is she?

"Umm... Danny she's not my friend" I said looking at her from head to toe who clearly heard.

Playing rude much? You can say that but it was true she wasn't my friend. It wasn't like me to play rude but that chick looked too sexy to deserve my kindness. She wore a knee-length WHITE summer dress. It was a halter dress, its v point running deep, really deep, her boobs looking awesome! and from front I guessed her back was bare. Damn... too sexy to deserve my kindness. Looking at her I felt under-dressed at my own party. I wanted to run upstairs and change into something sexy, you know just to give her some company, but then I remembered I don't owe anything sexy like that. Damn it!

"Hey Zoey, who's this?" Rick said breaking my train of thoughts and pulling me away from Danny toward him (trying to be protective) showing my back to still-in-the-door ghostly chick.

Rick probably gave Danny a dirty look but Danny just looked at me with that same wicked smile wanting the same reply he had prepared me for.

"Hey Rick, this is Danny... my... boy...friend." I announced.

Danny looked pleased with that answer, and Rick gave the same reaction everybody else was giving me tonight. Danny was the first guy ever that I actually admitted as my boyfriend in front of my parents and my friends pretty proudly at that. It was a one day thing and he meant it just as see-how-they-react thingy, and I was actually enjoying it.

Rick dropped his hand from my shoulder and looked at me like I just said that Danny was a terrorist, and looked all around like he heard it wrong. It sure was funny until I heard something fall down at the kitchen. Then everyone looked at kitchen.

There in kitchen, there was standing Jake like he had just saw a ghost and a sitting Rosalie mourning over the bowl that Jake apparently destroyed. Well I am sure Jake heard me.

But still, who was that chick, seriously was I the only one that could see her? And then Jake came to where I, Rick, Danny and that ghost chick were standing (creepy)

"Well hello there, I am Danny here, Zoey's boyfriend" Danny said nudging me by his shoulder.

I giggled in reply, everyone's reaction was really funny, I just couldn't help ,especially Jake's reaction.

"Yeah, I heard" Jake said so seriously, it sounded like a threat. But he didn't introduce himself.

"That's Jake, Danny" I said.

"Hi, umm... we haven't officially met yet, I'm Annie" the ghostly chick said moving swiftly to Jake's side looking directly at me.

"Annie?"

Realization came pouring down the hill in my mind. The girl in my dream was Annie, that same Annie who Jake was introducing to Rick and Mel as his... girlfriend. Shit! Annie was Jake's girlfriend. Annie was the thing I was forgetting, Annie was going to ruin my now what seemed like a happy life. Damn it!

Hey sorry i have been late at posting the story, but you can blame Buzzle for the last chapter, it stayed pending for like 4 days!!! anyway, you guys didn't like the chapter??? no comments???
