You basically have 4 types of places to stay.

1. You have the full amenity strip hotels.
2. You have the full amenity off strip hotels.
3. You have the limited amenity off strip hotel.
4. You have your basic motel.

The full amenity strip hotel has every thing you ever need spas, pool area, shops, tours, dinning, casino, arcade, movie theater, luxury rooms, luxury suites, bowling and more.

Some full amenity off strip places have all the above the difference being they are stand alones, there isn't to many other hotels near buy like the strip. Of course you can drive to the strip, it's about 2-3 miles if you want to sight see.

Limited amenity hotel might not have a casino, pool, arcade or a combination of the mentioned. The savings on the rooms can go for other entertainment or dinning. Some of these places offer discounts to get your business.

Your basic motel is just that, a place to sleep and prices can start as low as $20.00 a night.

Cautionary Note

Las Vegas is divided into sections, I would not be looking in the north east side of town for safety reasons. With so many other choices why take the chance. Take your chances at the casino not where you stay.
