Which is Better: Airbed or Memory Foam?
Are you wondering which new mattress to choose from? Are you trying to decide between a new air mattress or a new memory foam mattress? If so this article will try and help you decide which one would be best for you.
An air mattress typically, is used as a portable type of mattress that one would take camping or somewhere where there may not be an extra bed. All the modern technology has allowed for airbeds to evolve far enough to where they can be used as a permanent bed.
Airbeds are very comfortable and they offer plenty of support. Airbeds are actually more comfortable and more supportive than an innerspring mattress. Air beds tend to not push back on a person's body as much as an innerspring mattress does. Therefore if you suffer from aches and pains or an injury you may be better off with an Airbed then you would with an innerspring mattress. However, an air mattress still pushes back on your body. It does not provide complete and utter pressure point free sleep.
Memory foam mattresses on the other hand provide sleep that is completely free of any and all pressure points. Memory foam mattresses give way completely. They do this by completely and utterly dispersing the weight from the body of the person lying on them over the entire surface of the mattress therefore not exposing one or two parts of the body to all of the pressure. That means that your head, shoulders, legs, and hips, are completely supported yet do not suffer from the push back pressure that other mattresses cause.
It's based on the pure fact that memory foam mattresses completely eliminate pressure points and airbeds do not so you would be best served to purchase a memory foam mattress.
