Where Darkness Thrives - Part I

This is a story about a vampire girl who thinks she's perfect, better than the rest. She has big plans and no doubts, and she isn't affected by Darkness as so many others are - or so she thinks... this is the first part of I don't know how many, since I'm not yet done writing it. Enjoy :D
|Prologue|
|I knew about the Darkness, I knew what it did to people; I made sure I wasn't involved with it, but to become a creature of the dark, you automatically devote yourself to Darkness, and eventually, it destroys you.|

I looked up from the half-full sack of blood they call a human. The moon was out, barely. It was a small crescent, like a fingernail. In about ten days it would be full, and vampire-moon would start. It was the one day per month where all vampires in range of it go on a killing spree, and wipe out nearly the whole town. I licked my blood-covered lips in anticipation. I looked back down to the unconscious boy, my appetite was gone, and looking at him without the blood thirst made me see that he was actually quite attractive, he had a shock of dark hair and a beautiful face, it could be a sculpture. He was strong too; he'd make an exceptional vampire. The more I thought about this, the more I liked the idea. I lifted him up a bit more and bit down on his neck, drinking heavily. The blood didn't have the same appeal as before, but it was sweet and warm.

Soon it was gone; he was drained completely of blood. I shifted him again so his mouth was tilted up and open. I brought my wrist to my mouth and bit down on it, causing bright red blood to flow out, I brought my wrist to his mouth now, letting the blood pour into his mouth. He was still unconscious, but he swallowed obediently. When enough had gone down, I licked my cut, healing it instantly. The boy coughed, and blinked his eyes opened.

"Wh-what happened?" He coughed out.
"I drank your blood, and fed mine back to you. I'm gonna make you a vampire." I explained emotionlessly.
He nodded drowsily, and fell back into unconsciousness, which meant I'd have to carry him back to my place before the sun came out, otherwise I'd turn into a crispy piece of vampire-bacon and he'd slowly but surely die, and not become a vampire. I sighed at the inconvenience of the extra burden, but forced myself to pick him up in my arms and start walking home, reminding myself that it would all be worth it.

As I walked, I daydreamed. I had a fantasy of me and the boy creating an army, a great, bloodthirsty army, and overthrowing the queen of the vampire world, her Majesty Queen Azalea. I despised her and her stupid rules. Actually, technically there was only one big rule: keep the secret, don't let the humans see. I didn't see why it mattered if humans knew there were still vampires in the world or not, we were just going to kill them anyway. When I was queen - after we overthrew Queen Azalea and took over, with me as Queen and him as my consort - the humans would know, they would be afraid of the night, they would tremble at the word 'vampire'. I smiled to myself, I couldn't wait for the power, the power I'd have over everything, everyone. I wouldn't have to hunt; I'd have people to do it for me. I'd have servants catering to my every need, and I could hire people to do my bidding for me. It would be glorious. I'd be the leader of all the vampire-moon hunts, moving for place to place with the fullness of the moon. It was perfect, I was perfect. I was made for this power, and I couldn't wait to begin my reign.
