When You and I Connect

There is nothing we cannot achieve or replace, when you and I join hands,
We could spread the word and complete the deeds, all throughout the lands.

The abandoned child would then be not desolate and with tearful eye,
We could put our bread together, to rid her of wrong clasp and sigh.

Beneath the shade of the common patio, our parents would have no gloom,
As you and I join forces to ensure they see the evening sands from our room.

No more war then there will be, nor gunshots or the suffocating scent of blood,
We can in unity sit down a while and soak in the loving memories a-flood.

Two heads are better than one, and as one we can watch the glorious plan unfold,
We are designed to give and give we will, of unconditional love and tales untold.

Imagine every one of us with the right to freedom, book and nourishing meal,
Imagine the hues of gold and red when the memories of selfless giving reveal.

It is not difficult at all you know, for that's how it was always meant to be,
We are above any beastly act and brutality that in avarice is so plain to see.

When You and I connect and pool together all we have and think we own,
Ego gets deported to yonder land and the seeds of a better morrow are sown.
