When We Meet Again

She waited outside on Valentine's Day
Knowing her love would be on his way
Her breathe was deep and long
As she started to hum his favorite song
Her heart was warm inside
As be listened to the trees that cried
Cried for the sun to show it's light
Her love was still out of sight
Her hands grew numb
As she struggled to thumble her thumbs
The air ate her bit by bit
As she hoped the sky lit.

"My love," she whispered."please come to me.
It is only you that I wish to see.
Hurry before the sand runs out
And end this everlasting period of drought."
And as she started to leave
She swore she could hear someone breathe
When she looked behind her
Everything became a sudden blur...
