When Sparks Fly...Chapter 22
Yes, we have twittwooed, babe...Hope you like and please comment! Love Phoebe
*Hello everyone! These chapters are getting longer and longer-hope you don't mind. I think I probably will post new chapters at least twice a week so keep checking back and hoepfully there will be another one up! You all have such amazing ideas but I couldn't make Abbie Mac's new girlfriend because that's just cruel on them all! And anyway, I've said before Mac's gf is at their uni so meet Adele! This chapter is based off a couple I saw actually on Saturday night. I went to my friends dance class party and there was this couple who just inspired me to base this chapter on them, (surprisingly my friend said they were 'just friends' but they were a very cute couple with clear chemistry and it was lovely to watch them dance together) but anyway, I hope you like!
Broken-bless you! I'm not mad! Use whatever just let me know!
Samantha Brooke-I'm not at uni yet, I'm in year 13 applying to uni and it's stressful. I am stuggling to find uni's that do my course etc and it's just so scary! Yeah, you can feel sorry for Abbie, I do.
Daisy22-Ahh thanks so much! That is my biggest fear-rushing! I hope I don't. I think I'm going at an ok pace, some might say a bit slow, but oh well, love takes time to flourish in my opinion!
Mevvi-haha, ahh, the pictures take me forever to find on this really cool website. And really? Mine are penguins but I do have a cat called Holly.
Ciriat-thanks so much! That means a lot because feeling solving really interests me and I think Tor has a mixture of feelings wanting to understand what she should feel.
Phoebe, ahh well done on making the team! Bless you! I love your comments and I hope when you catch up you'll like the story just as much!
Elle-ahh, I'm glad the story made you smiley!
Armit-Ahh, why do I bring on tears!!! I hope you like this chapter because the song you recommended is in it! I listened to it and you're totally right and it fitted in so well with the story and such a coincidence too! I love putting songs in my stories, I think they bring it alive a bit more!
Zy-wow! I hope it was worth it! Ahh, yea, I if and ahh about marriage just because I'm fearful but I think you can be just as happy without marriage. My aunt and uncle have been together for 18years now and aren't married so it can work!
Laura-Beth-amazing ideas! Also, I just want to say, you know you said your favourite word was poppet and I said I never used it, well I lied. After saying that I realise I say it a lot! I asked my friends and they said "no 'pheebs' that's just you"! Lol! So yes, I do say it!
Terra-I am so touched! You read so many a week! I wish I could! I have to sit in nine hour sessions to read my books!
Ms.T-why the tears! I don't see how I can make that happen! Yeah, I wish he would too! Ahh, the pics are lovely, they're off this amazing website I look on.
Everyone else, thank you so much for your comments! I LOVE them! Keep them coming as they do help me and motivate me to write esp when I'm busy. I hope you enjoy this chapter. I quite like it! Much love!
----------------------------------------------------------------
Tonight Caesar and I are going to a party with Mac and his new girlfriend. Mac’s new girlfriend, Adele is her name, actually asked Mac to bring us along. We’ve not met her, but she wanted to meet us, unlike Mac who we know protested against us coming along.
Adele is a dancer thus the reason why we are going to her dance club’s party. I've been probing Mac for ages for more info about her, but he's been very protective of his latest girlfriend. She must be special.
I arrive at Caesar’s place early and Mac opens the door expecting to see Adele and sighs when he sees me.
‘Ahh, sorry poppet, it’s only me.’ I tell him, patting his shoulder.
I then see Caesar in the kitchen with a beer in his hand and he smiles as he sees me ‘Hey Chick, chuck your stuff in my bedroom if you want.’
I go into Caesar’s bedroom and place my bag down on my side of the bed, yes, I’ve adopted the right hand side of his bed, much to Caesar’s annoyance, which is why when we wake up we are both squashed onto the right side together.
I then notice a folded piece of paper on his bedside table. I stand in my spot for a moment until my curiosity gets the better of me as I walk over and see an address written down. I sit on the bed pondering whose it is and then it hits me.
It’s clear.
It’s Abbie’s.
I scan the address and can’t help but type it into my phone to check it out later. I know I shouldn’t, but I can’t help it. I know Caesar is going to see Abbie soon, within the next week or so, but he’s not told me when let alone where and I don’t think he is intending to. It’s not like I’m going to go there too, is it? Of course not. Well…
‘Chicken, can I get you a drink?’ Caesar calls out.
I jump up and call out a little enthusiastically ‘Um, yeah, a water please.’
I then walk quickly out the room and decide not to mention anything tonight. This is a time where Caesar and I can reconnect and this is the time where we can rediscover what we like or even love about each other. I am not going to mess this up.
I go out and Mac stops me and gives me a kiss on the cheek before saying ‘You look gorgeous, Tor, I forgot to mention.’
I smile and say ‘Ahh thanks, so do you. I can’t wait to meet Adele.’
Mac rolls his eyes and says ‘that’s all Del’s wanting.’
‘Why didn’t you want us to meet her?’ I ask as I sit down on the sofa while Caesar brings me a drink out. Caesar then starts to laugh and I look at him warningly ‘You better be nice tonight.’ I tell him.
‘Course I will.’ Caesar says winking at me, sitting next to me with one hand resting on my leg.
‘You look so smart.’ I tell Caesar. He’s wearing a shirt and tie and looks very handsome. His hair is perfectly curled into dreamy strands and his newly shaved skin smells of the sexiest aftershave. He looks like he’s just stepped out of a magazine yet still with these rough edges which make me bubbly inside.
‘Please don’t tell her about my past.’ Mac says interrupting us.
‘Your past? What about it?’ I start to worry. Please don’t say he’s hiding something too or there must be something in the water down in Brighton.
Mac looks at me and says ‘Don’t tell her about my large number of women I’ve been with. She is too special to know that I’ve been a jerk and player with women over the years. She’s different, so please you two, don’t. I don’t want to muck up what we’ve got, ok?’
‘Of course I won’t. And neither will Caesar.’ I rub Mac’s arm up and down and he is genuinely worried something will spoil his relationship with Adele who he is utterly besotted with.
‘Mate, we would never have told her anyway.’ Caesar reassures his best friend.
Mac sighs and says ‘When I do tell her, do you think she’ll mind?’
‘Have you two, you know, twittwooed?’ I say.
Caesar bursts out laughing and says ‘Twittwooed? Is that what you call it? Oh you are just so cute, Chick.’ Caesar gives me a big kiss and smiles against my cheek.
I poke my tongue out and feel my face blushing and Mac nods, smiling at me ‘Yes, we have twittwooed, babe.’ He grins then says ‘but I was her first and I’d hate for her to feel like she’s like the rest of them.’
‘I doubt she’ll mind.’ Caesar says.
I’d beg to differ. I do. Knowing Caesar has been with other women upsets me immensely ‘Just be honest with her and tell her that the rest of them meant nothing.’ He nods then I ask ‘So, how many is your number then?’
‘Let’s just say I’m the Devil compared to the saintly one here.’ He says nudging Caesar.
‘Um, 20?’ I say.
Mac bites his lip and says ‘Higher.’
’30?’ I say in shock.
He shakes his head.
’40?’
‘No, it’s 51.’ He says.
I gasp and Mac says ‘Is that really bad?’
‘Well I’m surprised you haven’t got something being with 51! 51? How?’
He laughs and says ‘It’s not that hard to be honest. But do you know what? None of them even compare to Adele. Yeah some of them were great in bed physically, but Del is just so perfect all I want to do is please her, you know. I don’t even care about myself, just seeing her-‘
‘Ok spare me the details.’
Mac grins then the door bell rings causing him to run to open it before we do; Caesar and I then hear a beautifully soft spoken voice coming from the door and I sit up smartly as if I’m meeting the Queen.
Mac then walks in with a gorgeous girl by his side and he grins. ‘Caesar, Tori, this is Adele.’ I look closely at Adele trying to see if she is a mannequin with her flawless skin and gorgeous strawberry blonde hair scooped to one side, with big doughey brown eyes. She is stunning. Very much Mac's sort of girl.
Adele beams at us and comes over to give me a hug and Caesar a kiss ‘Wow, it is so lovely to finally meet you. I was starting to think Mac didn’t have any friends. I am so glad you could come.’ She says smiling. She affectionately touches my arm and grins. She reminds me of a sweeter version of Emily, mainly because of her innocence. She’s like me!
‘Oh we wanted to. We wanted to meet the girl Mac’s been gooey over for the past few months.’ I say.
Adele laughs and says ‘Ahh, that’s so cute, Maccy. Shall we go now? I’m sorry I’m late, I just had to find some dance stuff.’ Oh that is so cute! She calls him Maccy. I make an ahhing face to Mac and he pokes his tongue out in defence of his cute pet name.
We then follow Adele to her car and says ‘Mac, you’re in the front so Tori and Caesar can have the back.’
‘Well I wasn’t going to sit between them.’ He says laughing.
Caesar and I sit in the back and Caesar sits in the middle to sit next to me. He wraps and arm around my waist and kisses my temple as Adele drives off to the party.
‘My kiddies are dancing tonight.’ She tells us. ‘I’ve been teaching them this routine for their parents so it should be interesting.’
Mac looks at her admiringly and smiles ‘I can’t wait to see it.’
We then arrive at the dance hall and Caesar holds me by my waist as we walk in ‘Fancy letting loose?’ He whispers to me.
‘Only if you are.’ I say seductively.
Caesar chuckles and says ‘Course I am.’ He leans down and kisses me lips before we go in.
We find our table and the music is already playing ‘I might have to make some requests,’ I tell Caesar.
‘Oh yeah, what ones my little disco dancer?’
‘You’ll have to wait and see!’ I tease.
Caesar sits down and I sit on his lap as we watch Adele set up. Mac is just gazing at her; it is such an adorable sight.
Caesar’s left hand then starts to rise up my leg, softly caressing me. ‘Chick,’ he begins
‘Yes?’
‘Fancy going outside for a bit before they begin?’ You can tell Caesar is bored already.
I nod and Caesar stands up and links my hand with his. We sit on the steps outside the dance hall and Caesar pushes my hair back before saying ‘You look beautiful tonight, more so than usual.’
‘Ahh thanks.’ I say blushing.
‘Oh I forgot to tell you, my mum and Ash were asking after you, you know, how you were and stuff.’ He says picking up a few small stones and throwing them across the pavement.
‘Really?’
He looks up and nods ‘Yeah, they can’t wait to see you again now that we’re together. Apparently, Ashlee knew we would get it together.’
I grin ‘I hoped.’
Caesar’s lips form a huge smile before he says ‘So did I, despite your feisty attitude, missy. Actually, it’s quite sexy.’
I giggle then straddle Caesar’s lap and lean up close against him.
‘Don’t, that’s so not fair.’ He says as I feel him stiffening up.
‘You are so horny, Caesar.’ I say playing with his hair.
‘Mmm, only for you though.’ Caesar then brings my lips down to his as his hand caresses the nape of my neck.
After a good few minutes of kissing, we hear a cough from behind us. We look up quickly and Mac grins ‘God, you two. It’s only 7pm.’
Caesar swears at Mac and says sarcastically ‘We’re coming in now, don’t worry.’
We go back in and spot Adele warming up with her little dance troop ‘Oh that is so cute.’ I tell Caesar. ‘I want my children to join a club like this.’
Caesar doesn’t respond ending that shirt conversation. We sit back at our table and Caesar has a beer where I opt for some wine. Adele then takes centre stage and I sit up and really watch the presentation.
‘Hello everyone and welcome to tonight’s evening. Now we have a mini plan to the evening where some of my dance classes will be performing along with some individual dances. Now I was unluckily enough to be picked to start the evening off so I am going to do a rumba with Felix. I really hope you enjoy it and have a lovely evening with tonight’s performances.’
Adele smiles at Mac and I ask Mac ‘Have you ever seen Adele dance before?’
‘A little, but not properly like this.’
The room in then dimmed and the starts of the rumba song start to play. I can see Mac tense up as Felix the male dancer dances around the floor closely with Adele.
‘She’s so good.’ I whisper as I am mesmerized by how amazing Adele is at dancing. At the end, our table stands up and gives Adele a round of applause and she blushes and grins at Mac. I think he’s in love with her. He has that loving look on his face when he sees her; it’s so lovely to watch. I just wish I could notice that same look on Caesar’s face, wondering if he does love me too.
Caesar nods and says ‘She is. Not as good as your funky chicken though.’
‘Was it really that good?’
He nods, chuckling at me ‘Yes baby, it was really good.’
I link my arms around his neck and rest my head against his. Then a more upbeat, disco song comes on and my eyes light up. Caesar grins and beats me to the dance floor after swigging some vodka from Mac’s cup. The song ‘Play That Funky Music White Boy’ starts to boom form the speakers and I can’t help but sing along. I swish my hair from side to side as I dance with Caesar, hands linked and eyes sparkling with lust. I take Caesar’s tie and twist it around my finger, seductively bringing his body closer to mine. His body presses up against mine and we provocatively start gyrating together.
As the chorus starts to play, Caesar and I break away sing together doing dome retro moves including my funky chicken. We then break down laughing at my tuneless voice in comparison to my boyfriends amazing, jaw dropping voice. Caesar takes a hold of me and spins me around the dance floor with all his attention on me. ‘I don’t like you for your voice, that’s for sure.’ He teases me before kissing my lips.
‘Oh really? What do you like me for then?’ I ask, seriously interested.
Caesar says ‘I like you because you’re Victoria Rainford. I like everything about you, from your maddening arguments to your morning routine. You’re quite something, Chicken.’
I grin at my little routine as he continues ‘I like you because of who you are and I love that you don’t change for anyone. You are the sweetest little thing I have ever met and will ever meet, I’m sure. You’re innocence is beautiful and you’re wit is perfect. You do everything for others and nothing for personal gain. You’re inspiring.’
I lean up and kiss Caesar and say getting quite sentimental ‘You mean so much to me, Caesar. I hope you know that.’
‘You mean more to me, Chick, I’m sure.’ He stokes my cheek and says ‘Yes I know, you’re not a cat, but I couldn’t help myself.’ He kisses my nose and says ‘We’ll get through everything, won’t we? Soon we’ll be better?’ It’s more of a plea than a suggestion. He’s determined to get through our rough patch and it swells my heart.
‘Of course we will. And we’ll be stronger for it.’ I drop my hand into his back pocket and gently squeeze his arse and sigh ‘You’re my prince charming, do you know that?’
Caesar smiles proudly and kisses my neck down to my collar bone before saying ‘Well I’d have to be to have a princess like you.’
I giggle and Caesar holds me closer. ‘Feeling Good’ then starts to play and Caesar gracefully dances with me, his hands on my waist and his head snuggles into my neck, gently sucking at the base of it. ‘You know when it’s my birthday,’ I begin
‘Yes’
‘Will you so me a record of all my favourite songs sung by you?’ I know I sound so corny, but I adore his voice. It’s so smooth and sensually and hoarse. It’s truly beautiful.
Caesar looks up and gazes into my eyes and gives me an open mouth kiss before responding ‘Course I will, Chick. Just write a few songs down and I’ll see what I can do.’ Caesar runs his hands up my back and says ‘Do you want this song on there then?’
I nod ‘Yes please.’
He smirks and says ‘You are such a romantic. Right, well for my birthday, how about we go on holiday?’
‘Really?’
He nods ‘Yeah, why not? How about during the Feb break?’ Caesar’s birthday is at the end of January so perfect timing.
Caesar is so spontaneous sometimes it amazes me. He’s so carefree and forges about the consequences and lives in the here and now. That’s where we differ. He’s a present boy whereas I’m a future planning girl who needs plans and structure. I can’t function without it, yet Caesar sails through life hoping the ends will be ok. I guess we complement each other.
‘Where would we go?’ I ask.
‘Anywhere baby, the world’s our oyster as they say.’ He winks.
‘I love the sounds of that idea.’ I tell him.
Caesar grins and gives me another kiss before Adele takes to the floor again. We go and sit back down and Mac hands me the camera. I look at him puzzled and he says ‘I took some photos of you two.’
I then flick through the pictures and grin at one where Caesar is whispering in my ear and I’m smiling. Caesar’s hand is placed on my back, gently holding me and Mac’s got all the lights catching us dancing. It’s beautiful. I love pictures; especially not posed ones. The ones that show true emotions-like this one. We look in love. And I don’t deny for one second I don’t feel love for Caesar as much as it scares me. I adore this babe of mine.
‘I love them, Mac. You’re better than Caesar.’ I bite my lip as I look at Caesar whose jaw has dropped ‘Oh really?!’
I nod ‘Really!’
Caesar taps my head and says ‘It’s a good job you’re gorgeous, you know.’
I blow Caesar a kiss and then ‘Breathless’ by The Corrs starts to play and I leap to my feet and drag Caesar to the floor.
We start to sway and shake ourselves to the music, dancing around the floor like crazy people madly in love. I then mime the words to my beau and Caesar replies with some lyrics and I cannot lie, it is such a beautiful picture and so romantic as Caesar starts spinning me under his arms and singing the words to me.
I can’t get rid of the smile on my face as I sing in time with the music
/I cannot lie
From you I cannot hide
and I'm losing the will to try
Can't hide it (can't hide it)
Can't fight it (can't fight it)
So...
Go on, go on, come on leave me breathless
Tempt me, tease me until I can't deny this
loving feeling, make me long for your kiss
Go on, go on
Yeah, come on...
And if there's no tomorrow
And all we have is here and now
I'm happy just to have you
You're all the love I need somehow
It's like a dream
Although I'm not asleep
and I never want to wake up
Don't lose it (don't lose it)
Don't leave it (don't leave it)/
At the end of the song, Caesar crushes his lips to mine and I sigh breathlessly from the dancing and from the tenderness of his kiss. This guy means the world to me and I’m just too afraid to tell him.
After an evening full of dancing, singing and quite a lot of drinking, Caesar and I leave in the early hours of the morning before Adele and Mac, who were busy in the dressing room when Caesar walked in there, so we thought it was best to leave them to it. I really like Adele she is such a lovely girl who was so easy to talk to. She suits Mac too, I think.
Caesar fiddles with his door keys at the door and I admit, we are pretty drunk as I start making advances towards his zipper. ‘Chick, hold up a sec...’ He says giggling, trying to unlock the door.
‘Oh but baby…’ I whine, trailing my hand down his chest heading southwards. ‘I don’t want to wait…’
Caesar finally unlocks the door and we don’t make it to his bedroom before our lust takes over us as we’re making frenzied love up against his wall with Caesar holding my body tightly against his. Yes, well not really romantic, but definitely passionate. Caesar looks at me with a searing gaze and smiles as he pulls out and rests next to me for a while as he catches his breath back. He gives me a long, slow kiss before he picks me up under the crook of my knees and places me on the right side of his bed. I take the remaining clothes I have on off and put Caesar’s jumper and boxers on.
I watch Caesar walk around the room to get himself some clothes and also notice trough the dim light of the street lamp him slipping that piece of paper into his wallet. Why is he hiding it from me? ‘What’s that, baby?’ I ask.
Caesar looks up and says ‘Nothing, Chick.’ Caesar then gets changed before joining me in his cosy bed.
‘Night, night beautiful.’ He tells me as he nuzzles up against my neck and gives me sweet, gentle kisses that soon send me fast sleep before I even got to say goodnight to my beautiful beau or before I could question him on why he wouldn’t tell me about the piece of paper with Abbie’s address on…
