When Sparks Fly...Chapter 12
Am I going to find out your real name? Hope you like...love Phoebe Gardens.
Rac-seriously? I do it all the time, I take other people's to make wishes on! Lol!
H-I was like you, but then read the famous book 'He's just not that into you' and it's like a gift from God about guys! Read it, and believe it!
Floppy Disc, what do you think her wish was? I'm, interested to see!
Mevvi-no, thank you for writing such a wonderful story which everyone should read!
Nikki G-thanks, I don't like to rush things and I guess that might annoy some people, but I think the longer it takes, the sweeter it'll be! Cheesy but true!
Farida M-what a compliment, I love when really good books do that to me so I'm surprised my little story has done that to you!
Mel-oh no, the twist, I'm stuck on it atm, but yeah, it's pretty dramatic and I'm anxious about it too! Haha, are they addictive? I'm glad you keep wanting more though!
Me-ahh, when I do, I will tell you all!
Christine Rain-ahh bless you! That's very kind of you to say! Yeah, I think Tor and Caesar are pretty realistic, Tor's like me so I know she's real and Caesar's far from perfect, but still the perfect guy I wish of finding! Lol!
SK-haha, ahh, you're so welcome, I'm glad this lil story is making you feel that way!
Ciriat-I don't think you can but it was too cute to miss out!
Laura-Beth-you never fail to give me great ideas, but I've already used your first linking up bits for me as a way to go, so I hope you like that instead. Great idea though!
Everyone else, you spoil me rotten in compliments and telling me you love the story and I can't get enough of them-they make me smile so much so virtual love coming your way and I hope you like tis chapter, even if it is not very good in my opinion...*

The next morning, I go down to breakfast with Lola and we sit with the guys who are all ready down there, laughing about. I wish I could be as chirpy as them.
‘Morning, sleep well?’ Caesar asks us.
I’m in a bad mood because we did not sleep well. We had some drunken twat singing outside our window for half the night. I was not impressed. I was tempted to throw something down and hit him on the head, but Lola stopped me and just yelled abuse at him. It didn’t do anything.
I shake my head and Caesar asks why.
‘Don’t ask.’
‘What time is the play?’ He asks Lola and Damien, noticing I am not in the mood to explain.
‘2pm, why?’
‘I’m seeing my family, so I need to know what time to get back. You still want to come?’ He asks me.
I nod.
‘Will you be in a better mood?’
‘Caesar, shut up.’ Oh goodness, I am in a bad mood.
Damien and Lola then leave us, probably to use Damien’s room and I’m left with Caesar.
Alone.
‘It’s not my fault you got a bad night’s sleep. What was wrong? Did I keep you awake all night with thoughts of me?’ He teases.
I look at him and can’t help but smile at his attempt to annoy yet cheer me up.
‘You wish. We had a drunk singing all night last night from down below.’
‘Hey that was me, you know, Romeo serenading you.’
‘If it was, you should give up on your dream of singing.’
He laughs and wrinkles his nose ‘Nah, I was having a really comfy night’s sleep in my big fluffy bed just listening to the waves cascade along the shore.’
I swear at him and Caesar laughs ‘Come on, we’re meeting them on the beach.’
I wrap my scarf around my neck and follow Caesar down to the beach. Our hotel is right on the beach, it is so convenient. ‘What’s your mum’s name again?’ I ask.
‘Jane.’
‘Was she angry when you changed your name?’
He laughs ‘Yeah.’
‘Does she call you Caesar now?’
‘No.’
I grin ‘Am I going to find out your real name?’
‘I think so.’ He says expressing the same grin. Oh I can’t wait to see what it is! I can’t even imagine what his real name is.
‘And your sister’s name is Ashlee and your niece’s name is Hope, am I right?’
‘You are. Good memory. What about your family?’
‘My brothers’ are called Andy and Ryan, my mum’s name is Sandra and my dad is called Nigel.’
‘What a nice bunch.’ He comments.
‘Mm, yeah, we’re pretty close. What about you? Are you quite a close family?’
‘Oh yeah, those girls mean the world to me.’
I smile and watch Caesar fidget with his fingers ‘Are you ok?’
‘Just cravings.’
‘For what?’
‘Cigarettes, I’m trying to give up.’
‘Really! Since when?’
‘Recently.’ That is so true. I have rarely seen him light up around me and he knows I don't agree with smoking.
‘Come here.’ I say, beckoning him with my hand.
‘Why?’
‘I want to see if you smell of them.’
Caesar comes closer to me and I lean up and take a deep sniff of him. ‘Nothing.’
He smiles ‘Thanks.’
‘You smell like Caesar now, not cigarettes.’
‘What does Caesar smell like?’ He asks grinning.
‘You, stupid.’ I ruffle his hair and say ‘Well done, you should be so proud of yourself. I am.’
Caesar smiles and sits down on the beach as we wait for his family. We can see the Pier from where we’re sat. Going to the seaside reminds me of how much I love being by the sea, with the beach and sea, even if Brighton doesn’t have the weather, it is such a nice place to go to.
As we sit down, I look at his tattoo and ask ‘Are you planning to have anymore done?’
‘Yeah, I think so, not a massive one though, a small, discreet one. Have you got one?’
I laugh ‘No.’
‘Goody two shoes.’
I grin ‘But I’m a girl so when I get old, it’ll sag and be ghastly.’
He laughs and says ‘Any piercings then?’
‘This’ll shock you, yes I have.’
‘Oh what, ears?’ He says sarcastically.
‘Yes and somewhere else.’
His eyes widen in shock ‘Where?’
‘Where do you think?’ I laugh ‘Don’t think dirty, Caesar.’
He grins, then says ‘Belly button?’
I nod.
‘No way! Why did you get that done?’ He is in total shock.
‘Well Em and I got it one done at the same time. She wanted one, so I got one done too.’
‘How sexy, Chick.’ He winks. 'You little dark horse.'
I blush and Caesar smiles ‘Oh look, there they are.’ Caesar stands up and waves at the three approaching figures and I stand up too, watching a brunette older lady, I’m thinking his mum and a young blonde girl, I’m thinking Ashlee with a young child, which must be Hope.
They are a pretty gorgeous bunch. Ashlee has curly hair like Caesar’s but much more presentable in loose beachy waves and her daughter is beautiful, she has her mummy’s hair and eyes. That same deep green as Caesar’s.
‘Hey mum.’ Caesar says kissing his mum’s cheek.
Hope then runs over to him and he scoops her up and tickles her playfully. Ashlee looks on laughing and smiles at me. She is so young, poor thing. I don’t know how I would have coped at 15 being pregnant.
‘Mum, Ash, Hope, meet Victoria, my friend.’ Caesar says introducing us all.
‘You should have told us you were bringing someone, love, I would have dressed up a bit.’ His mum says, smiling at me.
‘Oh no, there’s no need.’ I say. Gosh they are sweet.
‘Friend?’ Ashlee tries.
Caesar looks at her and nods ‘Yes, friend.’
She smiles seeing how she’s wound him up. She’s like me! ‘Well it’s lovely to meet you Victoria. Do you like to be called that?’
‘Oh, you can shorten it.’
‘What do you call Victoria?’ She asks Caesar.
‘Um, I don’t call her anything to do with her name.’
‘Oh really, what do you call her then?’
I look away as he says ‘Chick.’
‘All the time?’
He nods.
Ashlee attempts to make eye contact with me then says ‘I’ll call you Tori, because Chick seems to be my brother’s special name for you.’ I look up and she grins. I like her already.
‘So, Johnny, where are we going for brunch then?’ Jane says.
‘Your name’s Johnny!’ I say in ecstatic squeals.
‘Yes, my original name is Johnny.’ He says laughing.
‘You didn’t even tell Tori your actual name!’ Jane says in shock. ‘Goodness me, what have I raised, a rebellious child? I tell you, Tori, I don’t know what happened with them both.’ She says playfully.
Caesar and Ashlee laugh. Hope looks up at us all and she says ‘Mum,’ then babbles something to Ashlee. Ashlee picks her up and says ‘Will you keep your scarf on, Hope? Honestly.’
‘Your name’s Johnny.’ I say giddily smiling at Caesar.
‘It’s Caesar to you, Chick.’
‘Why?’
He grins ‘Because it matches your name.’
‘What? Victoria?’
‘No, Chick, you know, Chicken Caesar Salad?’ He says laughing.
‘That is so cheesy, Caesar, you loser.’
He smiles and pinches my cheek ‘You find me funny really.’
I raise my eyebrow and he rubs my back affectionately before walking with his mum.
As we walk on down the beach, I smile at Ashlee in awe at how good she is at being a mum. ‘So Tori, how do you know C.J?’
‘Is that what you call Caesar?’ I ask.
She nods ‘Yeah, he’s such a loser, so I thought I’d take the C and J and join them to make C.J. What do you think of his name?’
‘It’s…inventive.’
‘Mm, I agree. Better than Mac Flurry Donald, boys, I swear, they never grow up.’ She smiles then says ‘Sorry, we detoured, how do you now C.J then?’
‘We’re in the same English class.’
‘Ahh, well I hope he stays there.’
Caesar turns around and says ‘I am planning to.’
She nods ‘Ok, don’t look so edgy about it.’
Caesar pokes his tongue out and she says ‘don’t teach my daughter bad habits.’
Caesar laughs and pokes his tongue out to Hope. Hope pokes her tongue out giggling and Ashlee sighs ‘She’s a sucker for guys. She follows anything they do.’
‘Has she seen George recently?’ Caesar asks.
She tuts ‘Yes.’
‘Was she planned?’ I ask.
Ashlee laughs ‘Don’t be daft. I never planned to get knocked up at 15, but hey ho, that’s my luck.’
‘Well you should have been more responsible then, shouldn’t you?’ Jane says.
‘Yes, yes, only if the condom didn’t break.’
Jane cringes and says ‘Ashlee, I didn’t need to hear that.’
She laughs ‘Oh, sorry.’ She then whispers to me ‘We were so irresponsible so I’m hardly surprised, a bit too keen one night and here we are today.’
Ashlee strokes her daughters hair and smiles ‘Go and annoy uncle C.J.’ Hope then run off and slaps Caesar’s arse giggling.
‘Oi, munchkin!’
‘She’s gorgeous.’ I tell Ashlee.
‘Ahh, I know. That’s probably the only good thing I can be thankful to George for, he’s gorgeous just like my sparkle here.’
‘Was it hard having her so young?’
She nods ‘Yes, but it’s always going to be hard at any age, but she’s worth everything to me and just seeing her happy makes up for all the tough times.’
‘See, Caesar, children are worth it.’ I tell him.
‘I think I’ll stick to being an uncle.’ Is all his reply.
We stop at a beachfront restaurant and order some brunch while we talk. I order a sausage sarnie with lots of tomato sauce and Caesar orders a full English breakfast. We sit next to each other and I even take the liberty of asking for some of his scrambled eggs.
Caesar smiles when I ask him and he spoon-feeds me some ‘That is really good scrambled eggs.’
He nods ‘I always order the same thing from here because it’s that good.’
‘So Tori, have you got any siblings?’ Ashlee asks.
‘Yes, two brothers.’
‘Older or…?’
‘Older.’
She smiles. ‘Are they protective of you?’
‘Yeah, a bit, but I’ve always wanted a sister to squabble or share everything with.’
‘ME TOO!’ She exclaims and I can see her younger self coming through, letting go of being a mother for a moment. It is so touching to watch.
‘Seriously, you two are such girls.’ Caesar says rolling his eyes.
Hope laughs and says ‘Silly mummy.’
‘Oi, cheeky.’ She teases and pinches her cheek.
Caesar watches Hope and grins ‘What’s your mummy like hey, she doesn’t appreciate me, does she?’
Hope shakes her head laughing.
Ashlee looks at Hope in mock anger and Hope laughs even louder.
‘Oh she is so cute.’ I tell Caesar.
He nods ‘She’s a star.’
After hours spent with the Matthews, Caesar and I need to get back for the play. ‘It has been lovely to meet you, Tori, it reassures me Johnny’s not with the wrong people.’
‘You wouldn’t think I was 19, would you?’ He says mockingly.
Jane taps Caesar’s head and smiles ‘I hope we’ll see you again soon.’
‘Oh I’m sure we will.’ Ashlee says smiling at me. ‘Say bye to Tori, Hope.’
‘Bye!’ She says smiling at me.
‘Bye sweetie.’
Caesar kisses them all and I smile watching how close they all are.
‘Ready to go?’ He says holding his arm out. I link mine with his and say ‘They are lovely, Caesar. All of them are so nice.’
He nods ‘Thanks. They like you. I could tell.’ Caesar looks down at me and I grin.
‘Well I like them too.’
‘Good. That means a lot.’ He smiles.
His eyes fall to my lips and my heart starts to beat faster, I can actually heart the heartbeats now. Oh God, please kiss me, but he smiles and says ‘Chick, you have a splodge of tomato sauce by your lip.’
‘You’re kidding me.’ I say in embarrassment.
He takes his index finger and wipes it away, showing me the red sauce. I blush and Caesar laughs, licking it off his finger.
‘Eww you are gross, Caesar!’ I say wrenching. Guys, why are they so vile?
Caesar grins at me and says ‘And you so like me for it.’
I pause and smile ‘God knows why I like you, Caesar. God knows, you vile creature.’ I tease.
He laughs and gives my waist a squeeze ‘Bless you, Chick.’
‘What?’ Why is he blessing me.
He wrinkles his nose and says ‘Just bless you.’
‘Why are you blessing me? Am I that much of a poor case.’
He laughs and says ‘No, bless you because you’re so cute and you make me smile a lot.’
I grin. Did he really just say that about me? I’m smiling so much right now my face hurts.
‘Ahh, thanks Caesar.’ I say, nuzzling into his shoulder. ‘I guess you do too.’
