When Only a Walk in Closet Will Do!

If you're having trouble putting an outfit together the problem may lie more with your closet and than with your wardrobe. Here are some reasons you may want to install a walk-in closet and organize your wardrobe.
If you’re having a wardrobe malfunction because your closet behaves more like a black hole in which clothing seems to just disappear within, it’s time to get organized. After all, having a disorganized closet doesn’t serve you; instead it wastes your time and requires a severe straightening out afterwards. And who needs that - tearing apart your entire closet just to find that newly purchased article of clothing.

Adding a Walk in closet

Consider this: If you need more room to store your clothing why not add a walk in closet. Some people have the bones of a closet hidden within their room without even knowing it.

Where, you ask? Well consider your bedroom, especially, if you have one of those awkwardly spaced bedrooms. Believe it or not, the strange shape can actually serve as a niche for a closet. For a walk-in, consider possibly squaring off the space. You might also be able to create closet space by sectioning a bedroom corner for a triangular shaped walk-in that can include shelving and drawers.

Walk in master closets have so many advantages

The benefits to storing clothes and accessories in a well organized walk in are countless. It is not surprising to read that in a national survey of home-buyer preferences found that 50% of all recent home buyers wanted a walk in closet in the master bedroom.

Walk in closets have so many advantages and one is the potential to add more space to your bedroom.

If space is an issue in your home, but you do have a walk in closet, (or the potential for one) take advantage of the closets’ space. Often you can eliminate the need for space hogging furniture, like a dresser with drawers or armoire, by adding useful shelves and drawers to your closet design.

In addition, a walk-in can serve as a dressing room, which provides an organized space for getting dressed. It can also save you valuable bedroom space.

And finally, there is nothing better than being able to get dressed with ease. This is the objective of a well organized closet. If you can easily find the items you desire to wear - your accessories, your shoes - the struggle of getting dressed, finding your clothes will be eliminated. This makes getting dressed efficient easy, not time consuming and an act of tearing apart your space.

However, keep in mind that once you create the organized closet system to house your wardrobe, you will want to keep it that way.
