When Lord, When?
Are you tired waiting for the harvest time in your life? Do you feel frustrated and weep …When Lord, When? Than you have to understand that God’s "due time" is many times a mystery. God has His own measure and He is not using ours. Still His Word promises that He makes no delays, not even a day! See more!
When God gives us hopes and visions according to particular circumstances in our lives, we are not always allowed to know exactly the time when things are going to be fulfilled; what do we do then? Are you ready to accept God’s time? Do you trust Him indeed?
"Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time". 1 Peter 5:6
Who doesn’t want good things to happen in their lives? A fact is that we all like them. I love them too! What happen when things don’t come … the moment we want to?
It is my inclination and nevertheless it is common to feel wary and alarmed… ups, will this ever happen will this be so as God promised?
If we just take a look at the people who were waiting to get the Promised land, after years of walking through the wilderness when the faithfulness of God was so obvious and evident, their clothes did not wear out and their feet did not swell during those forty years and the food was provided by the Mighty One. Here is what Lord said to Moses:
"How long will these people treat me with contempt? How long will they refuse to believe in Me, in spite of all the miraculous signs I have performed among them?" Numbers 14:11
We all have miracles in our life the first one is the life itself let’s see, when God created man, He "breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living soul".
So to be alive we must have the breath of life and the breath of life comes from the Life Itself. "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."
So yes, here it is, we all know that being alive is a miracle. Take a better look and see a lot of miracles in your life; the miracle of the Holly Ghost, the miracle of forgiveness; Our sins are forgiven when we accept Jesus in our life to guide us, to be our Lord and Savior when we confess our sins on our knees. An answered prayer is another miracle we face every day, and so on …but aren’t we are exactly the same as those people in the wilderness?
We have a special bent for worry. We want to know everything – we are born with this – and if we don’t understand something, especially in our lives, it makes us uncomfortable. This is in the detriment of my spiritual life. God wants us to trust Him even if we don’t understand, because there are many things that are beyond our human comprehension limits and we can’t understand them anyway. Just like explaining the law of physics to a two years old.
We need to trust the One who knows everything because He is the same, He never changes, He is our Creator who gave His life for you and me. Than – why should I be worry? That makes me say, at times when I want my will to be done with no time "wasted" waiting: Lord, now, later or never – whenever you want, because that’s the perfect time and because I trust you. This are the words that should be in the heart of a young man who wants to start a family, in the life of a family who wants a baby, or in the prayer of a mother who’s asking God for health for her child with leukemia. It is difficult; it’s against our human nature. We need to exercise it every moment in small things because it will be proved useful in bigger issues.
Seeing things this way we can easily say that God’s "due time" is worth waiting.
The book of Genesis tells us about Joseph and his dream. He had to wait quite a long time for his dream to become reality, but it was surely worth waiting.
"A man's steps are directed by the LORD. How then can anyone understand his own way?" Proverbs 20:24
Sometimes His way for us has no sense or explanation, sometimes we cannot understand everything rational; do not even try that, there is a better way:" Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight."
Our concern is to let God be God in our life! Be patient in the Lord because it is worth it, more than you can imagine!
