When I Lost My Dad

I lost my father, although he is still alive...
I lost my dad, to other girls.
Girls who stole him from my sole.
It was only 3 years ago, he has left me all alone
My mom was there, trying so hard to comfort me.
But no one could go through
They would sit by me, and try to understand...
Never works
Never will
Dads leave
Dads come and go
Dads break hart, oh so often
Dads will say anything, just so you can hear what you want to.
But they never mean it
A day or two before your big day,
Your day your father, says he will come and play
He calls up saying, goodbye I have to go.
But call me tomorrow!!
Oh wait...
I forgot to tell you..
I can’t make it out.
You throw a fit, and cry and wine. Weep and moan.
Thinking "how could he be mine?"
Well guess what dad?
I don’t need you anymore.
Since last night, when you called to say hello
That don’t work anymore daddy.
I’m smarter now…
I know what you mean
I am growing up, to be all me
I now have to go
You tell me every time
Well guess what???
My turn.
So goodbye
