When Good Girls Are Kidnapped - Chapter Four
Sylvia's head is still reeling from that kiss and she doesn't know if she can trust herself around Laxon.

Sylvia groaned as she expected to wake up in the dark and on that uncomfortable scratchy bed. She did not want to open her eyes but when she realized that she was on a soft and fluffy bed with lovely aromas flowing through her nose she did. She gasped and sat up, she was in gold and silver bedroom, on a massive four poster bed, the carpet was red and felt lush between her toes as she swung her legs out of the bed. She looked at the bedside table where a plate of toast greeted her and a note. She read it as she ate:
Morning Gorgeous!
I have some things to deal with so I can't be there to watch you wake up. Go and have a shower, plenty of towels and there's a present for you in the closet.
Get ready for 8pm; we're going to a ball.
Ps. Feel free to explore the castle, I'll find you when it's time.
All my love Laxon
Even though she hardly knew Laxon she felt something for him, he was thoughtful, and something she hadn't seen in a while. She smiled and walked into the bathroom and had a shower in the huge gold shower, brushed her teeth and cleaned her ears. Sylvia then remembered what Laxon had said about the closet, she rushed to see and emitted a gasp at the sight she saw. Hanging off a hanger was the most beautiful dress ever made: it was long and red, with a flowing train, a ruby neckline and a clinched waist, she looked at it against her in the mirror, and perfect it was just her size. So were the red heels that sat at the bottom of the closet. She then saw the pink gift wrapped box, she ripped it open and saw a diamond necklace, with a matching ring, bracelet and anklet. She cried as she read the gift note; diamonds for a princess. She was on the verge of bursting with happiness when she saw the make-up case. "He sure does know how to treat a girl" Sylvia thought as she got ready.

Laxon was in a meeting with his counselors but he wasn't listening. He was thinking about how gorgeous Sylvia would look in the presents he had bought for her, he had know her size just by looking at her and had immediately rang the tailor, the jewelry shop and make-up shop. He imagined the grin on her face as she read the note and saw them. "Prince Laxon?" Laxon was brought out of his daydream by the head counselor. "Yes, Counselor George?" "The meeting is finished".

Sylvia was trailing the little cracks in the wall with her hand as she walked down the corridor, she was exploring and the cool touch of the wall was soothing her burning hand. She had caught it in a door, which she hadn't known was being opened. An arrogant fat little man ran out and hadn't even said sorry. She held back a tear, she didn't want to ruin her make-up, she wanted to look as beautiful as she could for Prince Laxon. With a hum she carried on walking until she got to a balcony overlooking the stream running softly between the woods. It took her breath away and she felt a breeze on her face as she leaned forward to get a better view. A few minutes later a velvety voice penetrated her thoughts. "Such beauty I have never seen before" Laxon whispered in her ear, Sylvia smiled "Yes neither have I" Laxon held her hand "I was talking about you, my love". She blushed and looked down. Clearing her throat she said "Is it time yet?" catching Laxon off-guard "Um...yes but first..." and he kissed her but this time she was ready and she kissed him back, deepening the kiss and Laxon put his arms around her waist, she put hers around his neck and he hoisted her up onto the bar off the balcony.
"Ummm, Prince?" Startling the two, they turned and stared red-faced at the little man in the doorway of the balcony. Such hostility was in Laxon's eyes that the little man started to stutter "Y...Your mmajest would llike your comp-company at the bballll". Sylvia stared at the back of Laxon's head wondering what would have happened if the little messenger hadn't disturbed them "Damn he was such a good kisser" her lips throbbed and she couldn't help but feel like crying. "Yes, tell my uncle we are on our way" Laxon turned to Sylvia and helped her down, she had a mischievous grin on her face a glint her eyes "What?" he asked "Why can't we skip it?" Laxon chuckled and said "Because darling it is important, even though you are too, it is just a tad bit more" and with that they walked to the ballroom.
