When Do Pregnancy Symptoms Start
Pregnancy symptoms start after a week of ovum fertilization. There are a number of such symptoms and it is not necessary for all gravidas to experience all the symptoms. this article presents you a brief explanation on when do pregnancy symptoms start.
Early Signs of Pregnancy: There are a number of pregnancy signs. They mostly occur due to hormonal changes taking place in the gravida's body to accommodate the developing fetus and provide it the necessary growth atmosphere. Some expectant women experience all of the pregnancy symptoms while there may be some lucky ones who go through only one or two symptoms.
Missed Monthly Period: One of the earliest signs of pregnancy is the missed menses. There is no menstruation during pregnancy because there is no shedding off of the ovum from the uterus. The ovum is fertilized now and has formed the embryo.
Swollen, Tender or Painful Breasts: As the body prepares itself for further stages of pregnancy development and child birth, there is an increased secretion of hormones in the gravida's body. This causes many changes in the breast. The breast become tender, swollen and at times, painful also. The nipples darken in color and become more erect.
Morning Sickness: Expectant mothers feel vomiting, dizziness and nausea during pregnancy. It mostly occurs in the morning. This is called morning sickness. It occurs due to rise in the levels of hormones. It is mostly felt in the first stage of pregnancy ( i.e, the first three months). Some women feel it throughout the day and there can be some who experience morning sickness all the nine months. Morning sickness starts between six to eight weeks of ovum fertilization.
Light Bleeding: After six to 12 days of conception, a gravida may go through a symptom called light bleeding. It is, in some cases, similar to menstruation while in some it is very mild. Period during early pregnancy occurs due to implantation of the zygote into the uterus lining. Light bleeding is also referred to as spotting or implantation bleeding.
Nose Bleeding: Many expectant gravida complains of blood flow from the nose. It occurs from the fourth to sixth week of conception. The reason behind it is the increased blood flow in the body.
Frequent Urination: In order to provide ideal growth atmosphere to the developing fetus, the kidneys keep detoxifying the amniotic fluid. This results in frequent urge for urination. This symptom goes on increasing as the pregnancy proceeds.
Constipation: Pregnant women have to suffer from constipation throughout the different stages of pregnancy. Constipation during pregnancy is due to the hormonal changes that results in uneasy bowel movements.
Food Aversions and Cravings: There is a change in the expectant mother's likes and dislikes for foods. Some gravida develop a strong dislike against onions while others start feeling dizzy at the smell of hamburgers. There can be sudden and strong urge to eat a particular flavor of ice-cream or cakes. This pregnancy symptoms starts at sixth to eigth week of conception. Some expectant mothers can also experience loss of appetite during pregnancy.
Weight Gain and Bloating: Because of the increased production of certain female hormones, the body gains weight. This is necessary for the proper development of the child. On an average , a healthy expectant mother gains about 11 Kgs of weight during pregnancy.
Mood Swings: Again due to hormonal changes, the gravida shows sudden shifts in her mood.
Higher Body Temperature: During pregnancy, the temperature of the body also rises and is absolutely normal.
Backaches: Back pain during early pregnancy occurs in the second trimester of pregnancy. The reason behind backache is the stretching of the pelvic region.
Hope, now you know when do pregnancy symptoms start. All the pregnancy symptoms are generally frustrating and ragging. A pregnant woman has to go through them anyhow. It is better to feel good and happy even at such odd experiences as nothing is comparable to the feeling of creating a new life.
