When all is Lost

To the waves I call out, calling to you
Yet nothing but crashing answers my voice
To the expanse of the sky my voice grew
Yet silence responds as my only choice

Left behind and alone I try to find
A glimpse of faith maybe a ray of hope
But darkness overwhelms, engulfs my mind
Any light that comes in, I cannot cope

Here with brokenness and despair I stand
Clutching, clenching to that love gone away
To show that the infinite grains of sand
Won’t be enough to cause my heart to sway

Bold and foolish I hold my tender heart
Till the day we don’t have to be apart
