What's Wrong With Me? Chapter 1 Coma

COMA

Boom, boom, boom as my heart pounded wondering which way to go. Left or right. It was approaching faster and faster when suddenly it stopped but her heart was going faster then it had before. After that, all was quiet and nothing stirred when suddenly something pounced and I let out a piercing scream.

"WAKE UP AMELIA!" My mother shouted as she shook me.

I opened my eyes and looked around. I saw my bedroom and my mother. All was safe again I thought to myself but I couldn’t help but feel scared. It’s just a dream, it’s just a dream I thought to myself. I looked at my mother. A panicked look was on her face.

"Amelia you okay? What happened?" I understood what my mother said but no words would come out of my mouth when I tried to respond then everything went dark as I fainted.

I woke up in the hospital but no one was next to me. Where was my mom and where was my dad she wondered. Then a doctor came in the room. "She’s awake she’s awake" as he started screaming with glee. Then he came next to me and asked can you hear me.

"OF COURSE I CAN I AM NOT AN IDIOT!" I shouted at him. He didn’t look upset though he looked happy then a nurse pulled him out of the room to talk to him. "We should tell her about her parents and where she is not to mention what happened." I heard her whisper. The doctor said something back but I couldn’t hear.

They both came into the room after that and said to me "Amelia a long time ago something happened to you to put you in a coma. Your mother said that you had a horrible dream before that happened. We believe that’s what put in that state. One thing that we were intrigued about was to matter how long you were in the coma you body never changed. That’s why we kept you on life support when yours insurance ran out and when your mom ran out of money."

"Where is my mom? WHERE IS SHE?"

"She lived a full life don’t worry."

"What about my dad?"

"We aren’t sure. Apparently your mom severed all ties with him when she divorced him. Also we are sure he is dead."

"My parents are divorced?"

"Yes I am sorry."

"How can you be so sure my dad died?"

"You were in the coma for 50 years."

"WHAT? WHY DIDN’T MY BODY CHANGE AT ALL?"

"We don’t know that’s why we kept you here."

"My friends, my family, my life is all gone" I muttered as I started crying.

"The nurse came next to me. The hospital will support you and you friends are still alive but most of them have grandchildren."

"What do you mean support me?"

"We will pay for your school and you can live with me."

"But when I was alive you weren’t even born yet."

"So? I don’t care about those things."

That was the first time I felt secure ever since I woke up.

Guys tell me if I should write the second chapter. I know this isn't exactly scary yet or thrilling but it will have it soon.
