What’s the Difference Between Web Content, SEO Articles and Articles?

For normal web surfers, words are merely words on the computer screen when you click from one website to another. But if you're a small home business owner and looking to hire a freelance writer, won't you want to know how to differentiate between one type of article to another, so that you can specifically pinpoint the type of article you want written?
I don’t blame you if you’re confused ALREADY while reading the title itself! Trust me, I had the same problem when I first started out. Words are words and when you can see them on the computer through the Internet, aren’t they all the same? Well, apparently not.

What’s Web content?
The definition of web content is basically what you’ve written for your website or blog…anything, any content that you’ve written, regardless of the orientation, style or objective, with the intention of publishing into the world wide web that describes you, your company, your products or services. Well, in essence, that’s web content.

What are SEO articles?
SEO articles are basically articles published on websites and blogs as well…but from here on, they’re different from the normal, conventional web content. SEO articles are written specifically with the search engines and achieving high ranking in search engines in mind. Whatever they’ve written in there, the main intention is to make the search engines think or believe that the website or page is important for that particular keyword.

While web content and articles are mainly ‘topic’ orientated, SEO articles are not. They bring in traffic instead of sales…but with SEO articles, we’re basically playing the Numbers Game which is more traffic in, increase in sales.

What are articles?
Articles are stuff written and published in the Internet with the readers in mind. Believe me, SEO articles sometimes don’t make sense. Well, most of the time, we try not to make it so nonsensical that it turns the readers off or drive them away from the website but the main focus for articles is to make the readers interested, give them something to think about, information to digest or basically drags a fingernail through their emotions.

What we’re achieving with articles is that we want the readers to come back for more. Hence, with that said, articles are always far more interesting to read than both SEO articles and web content. But this doesn’t always have to make them harder to write.

Either way, as a consumer or online marketer, I feel that there’s a need to warn you and inform you so that you’ll know what these articles and terms are so that you’ll know how to communicate with your writer before you hire him or her.
