That only 6 days separated work starting on 'Beatles for Sale' and the release of the immensely successful No.1 album 'A hard Days Night", tells us a something about the wit and commercial consciousness of the Beatles. They had become a tour - weary 'commodity' and decided this ought to reflect in the title of their latest work. The album, as they imagined, was not one of their greatest but still sold in bucket-fulls.
