"Whatever Happens, Happens For A Reason" True or False...Ch 1

Hello!!!!!!!! This the 2nd story I started...............................PLEASE COMMENT ON IT SO I CAN POST THE SECOND PART
It was dark, very dark to someone it might seem like night but it was not. It was 3 in the afternoon and looked like night. Wherever your eyes could reach there was water and people. Mumbai ‘s one of the busiest station was overflowing with people but it wasn’t unusual, everyday people came and went but right now it seemed like someone had pushed the "Pause" Button. People were coming but no one was going they were all stuck at Andheri Station. And the reason was right now pouring from sky nonstop. Mumbai was known for its moody monsoon and it seemed that today it was a in a nasty or destructive mood, and our city was floating in that. There wasn’t any sign from the rain of stopping, people traveling; people wanting to go home all were stuck here. As the trains, buses and all other mode of transportation was stopped, this day 26th July Mumbai has stopped. A city which doesn’t sleep neither stops was forcefully stopped by nature. Everyone was looking at rain asking, requesting, and praying it to stop. There wasn’t a place to sit, everything was wet and people there were trying to come up with a plan to reach home one of them was Neha.

Neha a 23 year old girl cursing everyone including herself for getting stuck at the station. As everyone she wasn’t happy with the interference of the nature in her plans. She had her life in neat order and she hated someone messing that order, not even god or nature. Maybe because she didn’t believe in God, people called her a Pessimist but she called herself a realist. She did not believe in fairy tales, nor did she believe in anything good happening to good people. World was made of humans with their rules and their whims if you want to survive you need to fight. That’s what she did every day, since she was 17 she had started working in a part time job, along with her college studies she kept on working. She did not use her salary for herself it went to her mom to run the house and feed her family. With a snort she thought her family; yeah she had a family if you want to call it that. Who decides which person should belong to which family, what had she done before being born was so bad that she was in a family where fight and abuses were every day’s fuel. Her father was a drunk, with all the money spent on his favorite thing. Liquor.

There was nothing more than liquor that her father would love, and after getting drunk he would start talking and fighting with her mom. He never touched her, yeah but he wanted to smack her many times whenever she stood up in front of him to defend or save her mom. Her mom was a plump woman with mass of curly hair and a loud voice, she was the only reason Neha was surviving her life. Her mom was not a woman who would take abuse or fight lightly she would give it right back but then she would start crying and in next day she would forget it. That quality was not in Neha, she cannot forget neither forgive. She hated her father immensely, hated for everything he did but it was god she hated more to put her in that family and to make him her father. She had difficult time believing that there was God , after watching her mom, her sister and the way every time how her father was given money to drink she believed that there cannot be a god. If he is he is not good, maybe her aversion to god was also because her father believed in god very much. Well right now she was stuck here, when first she had come on the platform to get home she had found out trains were not working. Like all this people first 20 minutes she had ran from one corner to another and outside in the rain also just to see if she could reach home but she knew by road she could not reach home as she stayed at the end of Mumbai and fastest way to reach was train. After all her energies spent she had tried to be in that long tedious queue for PCO (Public Call) to call her mom and inform her she was stuck at the platform. But the crowd, the rush, and one jerk who was taking advantage of the situation by being so close with so many women had made her upset and now resigned she was standing alone in one corner. Around her people were constantly on the phone assuring their loved ones, and the other were trying ask people to let them use their mobile phones. She was not one of them she didn’t like asking some stranger a favor, she was through with asking people for help and money. When she was 15, her father had met with an accident and broken his knee, and had stayed home for 6 months at that time she was appearing for her secondary level exams. There were many times she was asked by her mom to borrow money from relative, family friend, only friend. Some gave, some denied, and some expected something in return. Yeah she knew what they wanted she grew up very fast, she never had told her mom only for a reason that it would upset her and someone had to so she had taken the job. So now she was through asking, she would call her mom sooner or later and tell her where she is..

Shrugging all the bitter memories she stared up at sky, and she thought after thunderstruck rain started coming harder. Resigned she knew if there was a god he never listened to her, nor ever will so unlike other people she never wasted her breath in praying to god. She always heard from her mom saying that whatever God does he does for a reason. Right now looking at rain and herself and also remembering the way that jerk had tried to touch her, it would be difficult to convince her of that myth.
