Whether you're the sister, friend, cousin, or coworker of the soon mom-to-be, throwing a baby shower is real fun, but takes a lot of work. To honor and celebrate the new arrival in the family, having a baby shower is the perfect excuse. As the host (plus attendee) of the party, you will present the guest of honor with a beautiful gift plus a card. We all know what gifts are for, but as for baby shower card, they can become the means to express your excitement for her little bundle of joy.

• If you're nervous about writing a poem, concentrate on a one-line verse instead. The simplest (and classiest) way is to rhyme a word in the middle and end of your verse.
