What Persuades a Writer to Write
Believe it or not but the fact is writing is a lot of fun. You can actually express yourself better in words than any other form of expression.
Some people think that acting is a better form of expression. A viewer gets to see a lot of actions and emotions if the actor is good. But what is missing from a drama or a movie is the underlying emotions and the thought process.
No amount of acting and costumes can fill in for the feelings or sentiments which a good writer can reduce to a page. Actual feelings in the heart and mind cannot be acted on any stage or screen with the same impact as it would be in a book or a short story.
I know a lot of writers from around the world, the best thing that a writer can do is express emotions and that is actually the quality that distinguishes a writer from a scribbler.
Come to think of it most are scribblers in the beginning and then advance to a better status of a writer. This comes with experience and incentives. To me the best incentive is appreciation for my work and that is what makes me go on and on.
There is yet another thing that can motivate a writer to write better and objectively. That is to receive money for his writing. For some freelance this is important, even I find it essential as an incentive and is equally good when compared to a note of appreciation from a reader.
Today there are many sites which allow people to express their ideas and opinions. This not just provides a forum for people to vent out their emotions or discuss their favorite issues, but gives an opportunity to improve their expressions. Sites like ekikrat help people improve upon their abilities by actually paying for their writings. What else a novice could ask for? This can be an ultimate appreciation that you get published and get paid for whatever you write.
