What Not to Do in Rains!
Summer has gone,rains are almost there.Will you be steadfast in coming to church even during these showers?
"There shall be showers of blessing-
This is the promise of love.
There shall be seasons refreshing,
Sent from the Savior above"
…monsoon is on its way, my friend and almost there. No more heat, but rains ahead! Vacations over, classes start. So even as we catch up with our schedules and the rains come to disturb our daily schedule...let’s be steadfast in coming to the house of our Lord. Let not these showers keep us from coming to His house and being blessed.
Last Saturday, I told Lord that I didn’t feel like coming to His house tomorrow and laid my excuses before Him. Not one of them was logical and was based only on feelings and a bit related to my transport. So I just told Him and slept. Next day by morning 10 I was ready and preparing to leave for church because somehow Lord had managed to remove all my excuses and even taken care of my transport.
I was amazed by how He did it and how much He wanted me come to His house. So I began thanking Him that He was taking so much effort, and it was as if He told me "Hey, come on now, you’re my daughter and I’m your Father. Isn’t it my responsibility to see to it how you come to my House to honor me?"...and you know what my friends? When I came to church, our pastor spoke on how we’ve a God, whom we can call our "Abba Father"!
So my friends, next time you think of not coming to church, I suggest, lay it all straight before Lord our God and you’ll be amazed how He’ll make way for you to come to His house and walk on His ways...because He’s our "Father God"!
(There shall be showers of blessing-
If we but trust and obey;
There shall be seasons refreshing,
If we let God have His way!)
