"Daniels! This no time to space out," Mr. Sanders yelled as he swung his yard stick at the black board making a large slap sound, "Your mid-terms are next week And your spacing out."
Bbbrrriiiiinnngggg!!!
The school bell rang as I drew in a deep breath of relief. I grabbed my bag and rushed out the classroom.
"Guess who?" said my Best Friend for like ever, covering my eyes with her hands.
"I know it’s you Jenna," I said as I drew in a second deep breath with a sigh.
"What’s with the down face? Did someone hurt your feelings? Do you want me to go beat them up?" Jenna said sarcastically.
"Okay first of all if I wanted to hurt some one I could do it with my eyes closed. Secondly I’m stressed out with this whole mid-term idea. Uhh! My life sucks right now!" I screamed as I slammed my locker door.
"Hey girl you need to chill, you know, I know this great place were they sell these good luck charms and voodoo stuff. Maybe we should check it out?" suggested Jenna.
"Phht Voodoo stuff where did you get that from a movie of warlocks and wizards!"
"Oh! Come on maybe you’ll find a good luck charm that will help you pass your test. Last week my cousin went there because she wanted this guy to ask her out and the next day he asked her out! And you know the weird part my cousin is a total nerd while he is the Greek God, I mean you have to check him out!"
"I don’t know, I guess," I said unsure if this was a good idea or not.
"Great pick you up at 8:00," said Jenna as she left.
I got home to see the house completely empty, there was a note on the counter for me from my mom it said, "Dear Ally, we won’t be back for 2 weeks. We were called in for emergency backup. I left the credit card on the counter, extra cash is on the left kitchen counter drawer and the home and car keys are on the hook. Have fun but not too much fun. Love you, Mom." Well I guess this is what happens when you have 2 archeologist parents. Although we have enough money the family bond lacks in this household. I go up to my room, take a quick shower, do my homework, and run downstairs. I make myself a cheese sandwich and devour it in two bites. I look at the time it 6:32 pm. I go upstairs and get ready. I throw on my black shorts, my white loose shirt, my black vest and my black boots. I grab my bag and run downstairs, I was grabbing my car keys from the hook when the front door bell rang. I rushed and opened the front door to see Jenna outside.
"Hey, you look great!" said Jenna.
"Aww! Thank you," I answered.
"Ready to go?" asked Jenna.
"Yep!" I replied walking out the front door and locking it. Jenna and I walk to my car and I toss Jenna my keys.
"Huh?" asks Jenna confused.
"You drive you know the way," I say.
"Okay," says Jenna slipping into my white Porche.
After 20 minutes………..
"We’re here," said Jenna walking out the car, I fallow her into a small antique shop. We enter the shop and I realize it looks nothing like the outside.
"Wow!" I say taking in the view.
"Hello girls how may I help you?’ asks a nice old lady.
We sit down next to the round table and I begin, "Umm! I don’t know how should I begin…." I say not knowing how to explain it to her.
"Ah let me guess nothing is going right in your life so you want to find a way to escape it, am I right?" asks the nice old lady. I think about it for a moment.
"I don’t know, I guess, its just I haven’t lived my life to my fullest potential or had an adventure," I babble on and on (stop that right now.)
"I understand you honey, now I want you to walk around the store and see what catches your eyes and bring it to me," she says a bit with too much enthusiasm.
"Okay," I reply not sure in how would that help me. I go around the store searching for something but nothing catches my eyes until I spot a red necklace, shinning so bright like its calling my name. I grab it of the shelf and bring it to the nice old lady.
"Very good choice, but might I ask why did you choose it?" asked the nice lady.
"Well it was like it belonged to me and like it was calling my name," I replied not knowing why I just said that.
The lady took the necklace and said some weird words in some language and gave it back to me saying, "May your dreams come true."
"Thanks," I replied confused. We walk out the store and I say, "I am never going back there again!"
"I’ll say," replies Jenna, "I didn’t know it was going to be that bad I guess I was wrong."
"Lets just get out of here," I say, we drive home. Jenna asks if she could crash in tonight. "Yeah sure my parents aren’t home anyways so go ahead," I say smiling.
"Thanks you’re the best," says Jenna.
"And that’s why you love me," I say giggling.
"Yes, yes I do," replies Jenna walking up the stairs. I try fallowing her when I feel light headed and everything goes black.
