A majority of torrent users will know how to download a torrent but then only a few will know how to make or create a torrent. Creating a torrent simply means uploading any file which you want to share with others. Hence, file sharing is equally important. Creating a torrent can be equally easy. All you've got to do is open your torrent client, go to 'File' and then 'Create Torrent'. Then it will open a window for you to select files you want to share. So select them and then choose the tracker. Trackers are nothing but a system which keeps a track of the file which you have uploaded. Not uploading files or data on torrent is looked down upon by torrent users. It is expected from a torrent user to upload files too, so that even others can use and share them. Torrents are great for downloading files of larger size. When you are using a torrent and downloading data from it, make sure that you are downloading legal content.

Downloading from torrents is not considered as an illicit activity, but then downloading copyrighted material from it may land you in trouble for copyright violation. Generally files like music albums, movies, software, etc. are downloaded. Now these would be available online for free, but then outside you would have to pay to purchase them. There are steps being taken to stop copyrighted material from being uploaded and downloaded through torrents.
