What happened to Hollywood?

Sex and violence sell… What are going to be the long-term effects of the trash movies that have invaded our homes and our minds? What will this kind of thinking do to our children?
What happened to Hollywood?
What has happened to Hollywood, these days you can spend more time watching commercials (and get more entertainment out of them) then you can spending the time and money watching the movie that is supposed to come after those commercials…The funny thing is you wait and wait for the great movie, the entertainment of the day to start and when it does, it is so disappointing that many people would have more fun walking their dog then torturing themselves by sitting throughout the rest of the movie.

So what has happened to Hollywood? What happened to the movies like Braveheart and Last of the Mohicans? Where are the Casablancas and the Titanics that Hollywood keeps on promising us?!

Movies these days are just plain trash….really the only way you can trust a movie enough to even go watch it is if it has a major actors in it. Why is that? Because, quite frankly, the young actors that we find in Hollywood these days have such disgusting lifestyles and such a lack of talent that the movies that they make are just not worth watching….Who wants to watch a person that goes to jail every couple of months or somebody that is in drug rehab twice a year?

Movies have taken a turn for the worse and they probably won’t get any better in the future. There have been many theories as to why movies have reached the state that they are in…..some people blame society others money…..the actors that can really act are asking too much money for the movies they make, so much that the studios can not even hire them, but come on, movie studios make millions of dollars on their movies. Well, they used to but now there just isn’t that much coming in because people aren’t interested in seeing the movies they have to offer.

So, the next question, why are people not watching the movies? That is easy, they stink! Every movie that comes out is just like every other one. They all have the same effects; they all have the same explosions and plots. Why can nobody make an original movie? If one movie comes out that has something unique in the making of it then that is all that you are going to see in the next movies that are going to be released in the following years.

Stop copycatting!

It makes you wonder if nobody can think for themselves, if the people behind the movie can not even think up a real movie…something that will actually stimulate brain activity, then why would I want to watch it, why would I even want my kids to watch it?

There was a movie that came out named "Ghost". The husband is killed and to protect his wife from the same fate he contacts a person that can see and speak with the dead…in the end he saves his wife from a terrible fate….a true romance movie that will leave the person who watches it in tears…There have been many, many movies that came out after that, those have the same exact plot line, sometimes its African Americans that are the main characters, sometimes its whites that go through the motions of acting, but the thing is that its nothing but a copycat of the real thing.

There were the matrix movies, now everybody has to have slow motion kicks in the air and the main actors have to wear long trench coats and sunglasses.

One other thing that has brought the movie industry down is the filthiness that is found in movies these days, there are "children movies" that I don’t even want to watch because of the sexuality and filthy language, much less allow my kids to watch them.

Movies have degraded the human body and everything associated with it to the level of animals…what is funny about somebody sitting on the toilet? What is so funny about somebody that goes around farting? What is horrifying about human beings that are mentally retarded and go about acting like animals as they kill and dismember people? It is just terrible that our level of entertainment has stooped to a level that is so low!

Something has got to change!
