Well, there’s truly no one way to develop a profitable home affiliate business. For one thing, there are many different ways of doing affiliate marketing. However, there is one thing, in my experience, that is probably the most important thing to do. Take the time to learn how to earn! So, why is this so important, and why is this so hard for people to realize this is the key? Keep on reading.

Let’s start with why is it so hard for people to see that taking the time to learn is so important. Well, there are many reasons, but a few of the biggest are:

• People are not used to thinking like the boss. They are used to having things laid out for them, like job description, training, job duties and responsibilities.
• Many people, in this tough economy, come to the Internet really needing to make some extra money. After reading some of the ads speaking of vast riches, seemingly easily attainable, they get caught up in the allure and glamour of it all.

It all seems so easy, and it can be once you’ve taken the time to learn how to do it. However, it’s hard to discipline yourself to do what it takes when you have the freedom to do whatever you want.

And why is it so important to take this time to learn. Well, just like many things, there are many ways to do it, and there are many things you shouldn’t do. Until you begin to understand what’s going on out here, it’s very hard to tell the difference.

Also, until you know what you are doing, success will, I can almost guarantee, be hard, if not impossible, to come by. What will then happen to you is you will find something that you think looks pretty good. You will then spend a lot of time trying it. When it doesn’t work, you will move on to something else. Then, when that doesn’t work, you’ll move on to the next, until you get frustrated and quit.

Until you know what you’re doing, you won’t know if you should stick with something or not. Many times it could take a few months of marketing before you start to see some success. Especially if you use mostly or all free techniques. If you don’t know how to do tracking, you will have no way of measuring if you’re on the right path or not.

Almost every aspect of this takes some knowledge. It’s too easy to get overwhelmed if you don’t get some guidance. Believe me, it is no coincidence that 97% percent of us fail and quit. It’s also no coincidence that most of these are inexperienced marketers who just don’t get the proper training. Would you open up a restaurant if you had no clue how to do it?
