Laura's pov-
I kept turning red whenever Jayden moved. he shared his book with me and I played the ipod loudly. We both were listen to 'beautiful life' by ace of base when my phone buzzed. I got a message from mom. -- When r u coming home??-- I texted back telling her after an hour or so. I rested my head on the bench. "Is Margaret Williams your friend?" he asked me. "Yeah. We've been friends since 1st standard." I answered. "Well, I met her yesterday in the coffee shop. You, and two other girls were outside right?" He asked slightly smiling. 'Yeah. we were about to join her." I said. "You looked very pretty in that top." he said returning to his book. I blushed. But, wait! How does he know so much about me! then I heard faint voices" Laura! Laura summers! Laura! Com'on!" I turned back and saw maggie shouting. "Hi maggie!" I said. she came up shouting "I told you I would be coming today! Why didn't y----- OH!" She stared at Jayden. "Y-y...um" She stuttered. Just then Jayden got a call. Maggie pulled my across to a bush and whispered "He's your boyfriend! Why didn't you tell me! I...um, talked to him...... yesterday." She said Blushing. Then I guessed it. She was flirting with him.
That's exactly like Maggie. "he's no boyfriend of mine." I said simply. "Though I wish he would be." I murmured. "Uh..... Laura, I got to go. Bye." Jayden said coming up. "Oh...um...Bye" I said turning pink." Um, yeah. and if you can please meet me tomorrow, At 5, right here. got it?" he said grinning. I turned red and my cheeks burned. "Yep. Got it." I said "bye Maggie" He said grinning at Maggie. Maggie blushed even redder than me and said"B-b-bye." He chuckled and went. "Today is the blushing day!" I heard someone say. I turned around. "LAVENDER!?!" I gasped.
She grinned. "Actually I was WITH Maggie, but it seems that she totally forgot about me!" She did a pretend Glare at Maggie. And as usual, Maggie got fooled. "Oh, I'm so sorry Lavender, I really got excited when I saw Laura and............ you know." She said Blushing. Lavender laughed. "Well, actually, we got to go, now. Come on you girls! We got to make this Sunday Fun! We can't just lose our precious free time! Come on!" I said pointing at my watch.
That's it. The day flew past. Until I found myself in my room, alone. I thought I could read. I went to my desk and searched it thoroughly. Ugh! Where the heck is it?
Then suddenly I remembered. Oh god! It's in Fred's house!! Fred is the guy I danced with in the prom. According to all the girls, they feel that he is the hottest guy in the world! I don't really love him. He's a little too flirty, at the moment. He says he loves me and all. well, I can't say I don't like him, but I obviously don't love HIM! I'll ask mom if I can go.
I went downstairs. "Mom. can I go Fred's house to pick up my book." I said. "Yes. But return quickly, ok?" She said quietly. "Bye" I said and put my jacket and flip-flops. I went out, on my way to Fred's house. I rang the door bell. Fred's mother opened the door. "Oh, it's you! Well, I'm sorry I can't stay long, but Fred's there. Bye" She said quickly and went off. I went inside and closed the door. fred was sitting on the couch. He was reading my book. "Mind?" he said smirking. "N-no" I said trying not to look into his eyes. they were very weird. So was his voice. He always does something with his voice that make girls just swoon! I felt I was in a trance when I first met him. "Well, I actually came to collect my book....... so" I started. "No need. Here's your book. You have to stay." He said. GOD! He got up and sat next to me. I didn't move. He starting it again! I felt uncomfortable. Now What! he got up and sat next to me and scooted closer and closer. "Uh... fred, well I got my book and so I think I'm getting late." I said uncomfortably. "Oh no..no. You haven't been here more than a minute!" he said. I closed my eyes. Oh god why is this happening! "You know I was waiting for this." he whispered in my ear. I shivered. He moved my chin and leaned closer.
He looked at me with his eyes. I closed my eyes and pulled away. "No fred. I didn't come for all this." I said getting up. He looks at me. "why can't you just stay for a few more minutes?" He asked getting up to. "No" I said. I quickly rushed and went to the door. He walked faster towards me. I suddenly go scared. I almost touched the handle when he pulled my hand away. I caught hold of his arm and twisted it. "AHH!" he shouted. I kicked him and ran out of the door. He cried in pain, again, this time louder, and started chasing me. I ran as fast as my feet could take me. I lost my way, I knew it. I looked around for any sign of light. I found none. Suddenly I heard a car engine. I looked back and saw a car racing behind me, the shrewd head lights entering in my eyes. I ran faster and faster.
Suddenly I saw a dim light from a house. That raised my hopes. I ran towards the light, my heart thumping fast. I started running out of the road. I was quite close when I felt someone's breath right next to me. I turned and saw fred. He raised his arms trying to catch me, when I tripped on a stone. "Ah!" I burst into tears. I saw someone in front of me. I give up. I hoped it was not fred. I felt enormous pain on my forehead. And then I blanked out.
