What are Netherland's Famous Tourist Attractions and Activities?

So what are Netherland's famous Tourist attractions? Netherlands is made up of beautiful landscapes and also rich in history and culture. In Netherlands, you can view some of the most interesting and beautiful buildings and places. Seriously, you won't know how beautiful Netherlands is until you read this article and view the photos of Netherlands's famous Tourist attractions...
Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam
The drawings, notebooks and letters of this one-eared Dutch Master come with a chronologically displayed collection of his paintings. Famous works such as the Potato Eaters and Sunflowers series and the tortured Wheat field with Crows can all be found here.

Anne Frank House, Amsterdam
In July 1942, Otto and Edith Frank and their daughters, Margo and Anne, went into hiding in this building on Prnsengracht in Amsterdam. Along with few others, they hid for two years before they were betrayed and deported to Aischwitz. Both sisters died just weeks before their concentration camp was liberated, but Anne’s diary survived, and has since been published in more than 55 languages. The house is now a popular museum.

Amsterdam’s Red Light District
Started as a place to "comfort" the returning sailors after long voyagers, the District is now mostly a strange sight: bored woman in ornate lingerie beckoning passers-by (often tourist families with grandmothers in tow) to come a little closer to their door-sized windows. Innocently snap a picture and you’ll likely find the entire roll of film forcefully removed from your camera and tossed into the canal by a human tank in a leather jacket. For all its famed erotica, this area is one of the least arousing places you’ll stumble across.

Tulips
It will take some time to tip-toe through them all, but you can rent a bicycle and pedal through fields of them extending the horizon. Or you can pay to enter the tourist-friendly Keukenhof Gardens, where they’ve been impressively arranged in every conceivable manner. The Tulips are in bloom from Mid-March to mid-May.

Sample some cheese
Cheese is no laughing matter in the Netherlands. Where it’s been made for over 1600 years and can still be found in round chunks the size of wagon wheels. Gouda, Edam and Leiden are the best-known varieties. At a traditional cheese market, like the one in Alkmaar (April-Sept, every Friday from 10am), you can see porters in white uniforms carrying sleds of heavy cheese.

Go kite skating
With exceptional winds and long stretches of firm beach, kite skating (racing along the beach on a special skateboard and a powerful kite) is perfect for this environment. In IJmulden, Renesse, Oostvoorne and the Drunen Dunes area, you’ll find the best conditions to try this unique sport

In-line skating along the coast
The Netherlands is considered one of the best in-line skating countries in the world. Strap on a daypack and go. Routes have been mapped out to take you along most beautiful spots on the coast, past dunes, dykes and even along sections of the famed "Eleven-City Skating Tour"

Tour the Heineken brewery
The old Heineken Brewery, just a stone’s throw from the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, may not be churning out beer any more, but it’s still serving it at least to the hoards of tourists who pay up to €9 for the tour. Free beer is included on this walk through infomercial.

Walk the mud flats
Wadden Sea is the largest continuous nature reserve in Europe and, when the tide is low, it’s possible to walk the uncovered mud flats. These are actually sandbanks crisscrossed by channels, leaving a soft footing that makes for a low –impact but strenuous hike.

Cycle across the Netherlands
You can easily rent a bike and find your way around Amsterdam, but there’s really no reason to stop there. Dedicated singed trails lead you from town to town. You don’t need a dual-suspension mountain
