What Actually Kills Us?

Bible speaks of Adam living for nine hundred years. Indian scriptures say that the sages in ancient times lived for thousands of years. What then is lacking in our lives that today we cannot even think of living even a hundred years?
What Actually Kills Us?
Do diseases kill us? Or is it old age? Some say it is caused by tension and worry. Some say it is natural.

But is death imperative? Is it not possible for us to be free from tension, worries, diseases and death and live forever?

Who could explain things better than someone who is worshiped as God incarnate and admired all over the world? Lord Krishna and Jesus Christ are two highly revered

Prophets who have given clear answer to this. And their teachings in the form of Bhagavad Gita and Bible have millions of admirers.

Jesus Christ says, clearly, that death comes to man because of sin. He says that sin entered the world by one man and death by sin and death passed on to all since all have sinned. He also says that man can be freed from death and have everlasting life provided he is freed from sin by believing and following the words of God. The sin by which death had entered the world was committed by Adam and Eve by eating the forbidden fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Since all things have been created by God, man commits sin when he regards some things as good and some others as evil. To free the beings from sin and death Jesus Christ commanded man to love all equally. He says, "But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven".

A person who obeys these words of Jesus Christ will have stopped eating the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil. Having freed from the sin he will never see death and will attain everlasting life as stated by Jesus Christ, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, if a man keeps my saying, he shall never see death".

It is not easy for the human beings to be free from the centuries old, ever growing knowledge of good and evil and become same to all. Lord Krishna imparts wisdom in the Bhagavad Gita by which a person can become same to all and attain immortality.

In the very beginning, in fact in the second chapter of the Gita, He reveals the cause of death and says that a person who is same in success and failure and is of steady intellect is fit for immortality. But despite reading these words for thousands of years everyone says that we are bound to die. No one seems to be trying to find the truth behind the words of prophets whom they revere as true messengers of God.

And the truth comes as somewhat of a shock. According to Lord Krishna, man is actually God, and he can live forever in the same body and attain any age. And hold your breath, that too without getting old or weak. One can be young and strong forever.

Impossible, you might say, considering that today hardly anyone even reaches the magic figure of hundred. And those who do, are too weak and fragile to even move about. But if we go through the Holy Scriptures we find that there were times when the natural age was hundreds of years. Bible speaks of Adam living for nine hundred years. Indian scriptures say that the sages in ancient times lived for thousands of years.

What then is lacking in our lives that today we cannot even think of living even a hundred years?

The answer to this question lies in the book You Are God written by Shashi Verma. This new and path breaking interpretation of Lord Krishna’s words in the Bhagavad Gita unfolds the truth that has remained hidden for thousands of years.

That man is God! That he can live on forever in the same body!! That he can remain young and healthy forever!!!

But all this comes at a price. And the price is that one has to leave the worldly wisdom of good and evil, and of ‘I’ and ‘you’ and believe/follow the wisdom of God. You Are God breaks the myth that God is not knowable. It says that knowing and attaining God are not different but the same. He who does not know God has not attained God. And he who knows and attains God is freed from death and becomes immortal. God is the supreme wisdom of sameness towards all with the realization that all are God. Knowing and attaining this wisdom is the only way to a life full of peace, happiness, health, vigor and immortality. And the way to the wisdom or God is a very easy to practice path given in Bhagavad Gita and explained in very simple words in the book You are God which if adopted can change one’s life forever as promised by Lord Krishna.

To know more about this science of immortality and to follow the path on which death simply does not exist lay your hands on this wonderful masterpiece You Are God - The Bhagavad Gita as never before. And to get a better insight into the book’s contents visit the website here
