To get you in high spirits, there is nothing else which fits the bill perfectly than a home bar! A home bar is undoubtedly the melting pot of activities for entertaining guests. In fact, most of the time, hosting a party or a get together revolves around the home bar. Be it a wet bar or otherwise! Now speaking of a wet bar, a wet bar is where you have sink for water supply either for mixing with drinks or washing glasses. Wet bars cabinets are great option to entertain people, however if these bars are set up properly, you would not have to go from pillar to post for whipping up a cocktail.

Choosing a Wet Bar Cabinet

A wet bar, invariably means that it should have a sink to go along with it. A sink is essential for prompt washing of glasses and for other things too. If there are wine coolers and ice makers with it, it will be the icing on the cake. If the bar cabinet is without the bar stools, there is no point in having just the bar! While you are looking for a wet cabinet, make sure that there are stools with it. To add some more jazz to the bar cabinet, have wine glass holders and wine racks. Another important consideration while you go for wet bar is overall what kind of storage are you expecting from your cabinet. That will greatly influence your choice of a wet bar. If ready-made cabinets are not working out for your house, then you can get a custom-made bar cabinet as well.

Wet Bar Cabinet Designs

Now a wet bar can either be set up in a basement or a TV room or any other room other than the bedrooms and living room. Basement is a very common place to set up wet bar cabinets.

Idea #1
The cabinet has to be all-inclusive and should be able to hold all the things required for a bar. A classic pub-like design therefore becomes the best bet for that. These are easily the most customizable designs. There are no hard fast rules about the shape for a wet bar designed after a classic English bar. Typically a classic pub will need to have dark wood and good seating options. The surfaces have to be rounded to impart an authentic look. An overhead rack for storing and displaying glassware and shelves for liquor display is another essential.

Idea #2
Another conventional but convenient wet bar design is the good old 'L' design. In this set up, if we consider the horizontal smaller line of the 'L', that part can hold the sink for the wet bar cabinet. If not the L-shape, straight cabinets, too, are in vogue!

Idea #3
Another wet bar cabinet idea could be to have a theme for the bar, which will decide the design of the bar. It could be a sports theme, disco theme or the likes. A disco theme will need to have those lights characteristic of a disco as well as other accessories for the same. The same applies to sports theme.

Well, all you have to do is to put on your thinking cap and be creative! When it is about wet bars, there is no limit as to how much you can add to the bar - wine refrigerators, shot glasses, wine glasses, mini bar refrigerators and so much more! Or for instance for shelves, you can use glass instead of wood and see how snazzy your wet bar looks! That's it! I sign off here! Cheers!
