The process of welding is a technique that enables the ‘bonding’ of metallic or thermo-plastic material. The technique involves the creation of a ‘weld puddle’ or a filler of molten material to culminate in the resultant ‘weld’ or joining of the materials. Sometimes, the procedure involves the use of pressure along with the generation of heat. The features like shade control and lens sensitivity in the automated welding helmets are internally controlled. The helmets feature a circuitry that is an ‘auto-off’ operation. These well balanced designs come complete with replacement lens shields, outside and inside. The automated and the manually controlled welding helmets also have anti spatter lens covers to protect the welder from any untoward instance of a ‘splutter’ of the weld puddle. Unlike brazing and soldering, it is important to keep in mind that welding involves more heat and precision. It is very important to adhere to industry-specific safety regulations and remember that the purpose of the gear is protection first and then job enhancement.
