**Ari's pov*****
"Benny I have to go talk to Matty," i whisper ending the peaceful silence shared between Benny and I.
He nods and returns his focus to the TV. I crept over to Matty's door and knocked. "Come in!!!" she sang. I stepped in side not able to keep away the anger I felt towards her.
"How long," i whispered closing my eyes.
"What do you mean?" she asked.
"How long have you and Aaron been going behind my back," i demanded.
"About a week after you two got together," she whispered unable to meet my eyes.
I let out a defeated sigh. How could she.... I cheated on Aaron yes but, Matty.... I never would DREAM of doing that to her. I felt a tear trickle down my cheek.
"Matty... h-how could you"
"He was just so cute!" she squealed happy that he was now all hers.
"MATTY! You were MY best friend! I LOVED YOU LIKE A SISTER!" i exploded. "I TRUSTED YOU! You knew how much Aaron meant to me! How long were you going to let this go on! TILL I FOUND OUT!?"
She was dumbfounded. "I-I'm sorry,"she stuttered.
"Sorry doesn't cut it." my voiced cracked. "I think I l-loved Aaron."
"Well now you have Benny!" she returned cheerfully.
"Yes, but Benny and Aaron are so different. And I trusted Aaron, but most of all I trusted YOU" i said adding venom to my voice. "I can't see how we can keep being friends" i said throwing my eyes to the floor.
"B-but Ari!"
"No... you damaged it to irrepairable lengths." i hiss. And with that I leave her room.
I throw open the door to mine and run over to the best. I bury my face in the comforter ignoring Benny and I sob. Benny's warm hands rub my back lightly.
How was I going to get through this without ...Matty. Thinking this sent a new stream of tears down my cheeks.
*** Aaron's POV***
I came out of my hiding place in Matty's spacious closet. She sat on her bed staring at the door Arietta had just stormed out of crying, saying she had ended their precious friendship, because of me.
Matty shrugged and hopped off the bed and came over to me. She crushed her overly plump lips that used to drive me crazy against mine. Her arms constricted around my neck pulling me forcefully to her.
She wasn't like Arietta. Arietta was so gentle, so sweet. Matty was controlling and forceful. Arietta's lips were soft and sweet. Matty's were always coated in some sort of artificial shit. Arietta, when you kissed her she held you tight. But Matty, she welded you to her, which could sometimes be quite painful.
I pushed Matty away, taking deep breaths. "Matty, cut it out!" i whisper/shout.
"Why?" she asks giving me puppy dog eyes that almost make me barf.
"BECAUSE! you and I upset Arrieta."
"SO... she has Benny."
Yes I know he does. Ari doesn't know how sad I was when I found out she had kissed him.
And how upset I was she wasn't mad that I cheated on her. It seemed that she didn't care about me at all. But I was proved wrong when she confessed to Matty she might have been in love with me. This made me incredibly joyous and very sad at the same time.
I regret ever cheating on her.
****Ariettas POV***
"Benny, I need to be alone for a while" I whisper. "I'll call you later."
"I understand" he said giving me a weak smile and kissing my cheek. He left my room and I heard him close the front door. I lay on my bed crying and crying, before I knew it i fell asleep once again.
***Aaron's POV***
Matty was watching America's Next Top Model and making me watch it to. I was so freaking bored! The girls looked like they were starving themselves and all they wore were disgustingly ...short.
"Uh..Ill be right back" i mumble getting up from my place on her bed.
"MMhmm" she said totally distracted by the 'yummy' guy on the screen. I speed-walked out of the room and shut the door, pressing my back to it glad to have gotten away from her.
I looked across the hall seeing Ari's door open. I peaked in and see her angelic, tear streaked face turned towards the door. Her chest rose and fell slowly, her eyes were closed and her eye lashes still held unfallen tears. She was sleeping peacefully.
I walked in quietly. My hand brushed her cheek, wiping away tears put thereby me and Matty. "I'm so sorry" i whisper into her ear.
She shifts "Why, why did you do it Aaron" she whispered in her sleep.
"I-i don't know," i whisper back.
"I'm an asshole that's why," i confess "Ari, I'm sorry, i cared so much about you and i ruined it. It's all my fault. But you are happy with Benny, that's what matters. He's a good guy and he wouldn't dream about hurting you. Unlike me. I seem to keep doing it, you shouldn't have trusted me. All I am is a man whore and trash, just like my father tells me."
"Don't listen to him. You're a good person down deep" she whispered drowsily.
"Sure" i mutter, but I didn't believe her ,not one bit.
