I lay content on the swing, cradled in Jesse's masculine arms. I curled myself up in his lap. His body heat warming me. The air around us was electric. His hands massaged my shoulders gently erasing any kinks.
His hands were gentle but you could tell he was a hard worker or a guitar player from his callused fingers. I grabbed his hand and studied them. I felt his eyes on me as I did this. I looked up and gave him a smile. He smiled back with his lips curled in a gentle grin.
The moment was ruined when my phone in my back pocket vibrated. I groaned, rolled my eyes, and flipped open my phone. "Y-ello?" I answer.
"Arietta! THANK GOD!" Benny's frantic voice is husky in my ear. It sounded like he had been crying.
"Hey Benny, what's wrong?"
"What's wrong...WHAT'S WRONG!?"
"Benny, ....chill."
"I will not chill! You have been missing for 5 days! Aaron, Matty and I have been scared to death! We found your jacket in a pool of blood in an alley and when we go to the police they say you are staying with some family!? What the hell is going on?!"
"Benny I just got hurt really bad OK? They didn't think it was safe for me to go home."
"One, who hurt you and two, how bad is it?"
"It was Jake and...I...I got..stabbed"
"oh..oh no" he muttered as if I just died.
"Benny,Benny dear I'm OK!" I say chuckling and stand up from the swing. "I'm all fixed up, walking and everything. Don't worry about me."
"I AM worried about you!!" he shouted into my ear. I pulled the phone a few inches from my head as he proceeded to scream more about how much he was worried and how he couldn't sleep.
I look over at Jesse who looks amused. I give him a flirtatious evil eye and he winks back. "Listen Benny I'll meet you at the park tomorrow but I have to go back to stay with this family."
"Fine" he gives in with a sigh.
"Bye." I say hanging up. I look at the sky which is now darkened. The stars twinkle and one shoots across the sky making my face light up with a big smile. I hear the swing groan as Jesse gets off it and comes to stand behind me watching the star skip across the sky. He wraps his arms around me, hugging me tight.
"Come on Ari, let's get you to bed." He murmurs in your ear. It was then I realized even though I had been sleeping for days, I was exhausted. I yawned at the thought and nodded my head.

"Jake, Jake no please don't hurt me," I scream at a dark figure approaching me. The reply is a soft rustling noise. "Please don't hurt me!!" I repeat. I see the shiny blade of a knife and it starts to come towards me. Right when the point touches my skin I sit up in bed screaming.
My whole body is convulsing from painful shivers racking my body. Tears streak my face as I recall the life, like a nightmare. I wiped the tears on my sleeve and silently exited my bed, afraid that residue from the nightmare remained on my pillow. I crept out of the room and down the hallway to Jesse's room. Slowly I turned the door knob and entered his room.
The walls were blue and there were posters of bands I loved all over his walls. In the corner was a computer desk, his laptop's lights glowing. In the other corner of the room was a bed with black covers. Inside was a sleeping Jesse. His hair was messy and he was shirtless making him look like some sort of Greek god.
I tiptoed to the side of his bed and sat down trying not to wake him. My body was still shaking miserably. I stroked his cheek making his eyes open into slits to see me sitting there. "Ari? What's wrong?" he says sitting up "Why are you shaking and crying?" he asks worriedly and quickly hugs me to his chest.
I start to cry against his naked chest. Sobbing hard and grasping him, convinced he could protect me from anything. "Shhh what's wrong huh" he says rocking me like a little girl.
"I had a nightmare about Jake" I say after the sobs pass.
"Oh Ari," he says sweetly "come here" he says pulling back the sheets motioning me to get under the covers. Gratefully, i crawl in and curl up next to Jesse's side. I'm still shivering so he wraps his strong arms around me and pulls me to his bare chest warming me instantly.
I was so thankful to him, without thinking and reached up and kissed him once on the lips. For that one second, the world stopped. No crickets chirped. No sheets rustled. No floor boards creaked. I pulled back, my eyes still closed. I heard his breathing increase. Before anything else happened he pulled his lips back to mine. His lips were warm and gentle. His kisses were like nothing ever I've ever felt. His tongue pressed against my bottom lip. I opened my mouth eagerly and his tongue slid in. His hand clutched my side pressing me against him. I pulled back and pressed my lips to his cheek once.
I laid back down and he followed. I laid my head on his broad chest and breathed in his soap smell. I wrapped my arms around him and he put his arm around my shoulders, pulling me close. He kissed the top of my head "you're safe" he whispered.
"I know" I say kissing his chest. He shivers from the kiss and I chuckle. Soon my eyes close and I fall into a dreamless sleep.
***Jesse's POV***
She was here, in my rooms, in my arms. It was like nothing else. I wouldn't let anyone hurt her. I knew she had a boyfriend but I couldn't control the feeling between us. Our kisses was hypnotic. It made everything around us seem like nothing. It was instant passion.
Her body relaxed and her breathing deepened. She shifted so her head was on my shoulder and her lips were inches from mine. Her arms were still tightly wound around me. I stroked her rosy cheek with my hand. She moaned lightly in her sleep making a smile spread on my face.
I leaned down and brushed my lips with hers again. And of course once again tingles absorbed my body and the earth stopped spinning for a short while.
I brushed the hair out of her face and traced the shape of her lips with my finger. Her eyes fluttered open and she grinned at me, showing me her perfect teeth. Quickly before she fell asleep again I pressed my lips to her soft ones amazed at the passion that formed in between them. She cuddled against me more and nuzzled my neck. I was in total ecstasy.
She was just so beautiful. Her light hair and gray eyes that told exactly what she was feeling and her soft lips that you wanted to kiss every second of every day. Her petite body that showed her personality just when she walked. And her blush, my favorite part. I smiled at the thought. My eye lids grew heavy and so did hers. We just stared into each others eyes until both of us fell asleep curled up together in our own little world.
