Welcome To Bright Falls ~ Chapter 1.5

Hey readers, sorry if this chapter is not long enough. It's just to talk about the cabin Wake And Alice are staying at. But in Chapter Two, things will start to get interesting.
Diver's Isle

I got out of the car, as well as Alice. "Wow. It's gorgeous Alan"
"Yeah, it's something alright." Said Wake.
The landlord's home looked dark from here, as we were walking the little bridge between us and the cabin.
"Alan?" said Alice, voice cracking.
"Yeah Alice?"
"The cabin looks pretty dark inside, do you mind turning on all the lights before I go in?" Asked Alice.

"Okay, don't worry, honey. I'll get you inside safe and sound before it gets dark. And I've got the flashlight"
"I know. I'm okay." Said Alice, more calmly.
I should tell you, Alice had a phobia, the fear of darkness. I wanted to make sure we were inside with the lights on before sunset.
I saw the sign right in front of the cabin, it was named Bird-Leg Cabin. Sounds nice. I started walking around the cabin, trying to find the fuse box. I saw a little shed near the lake. I did, I opened it and saw a couple of switches, with names next to them. I flicked all of them on. But when I did flicked it on the lights didn't turn on. I flicked it again on and off, off and on. But it was still darkness in the cabin. It was just like my nightmare.
Then I noticed there were a few wires coming out from the fuse box to the little shed I saw earlier. I followed it.

As I approached the wooden door, I opened it, revealing inside was an old generator, it was connected to the wires from the fuse box. I started it up.
I heard a few clanking noises and saw a little bit of smoke. It seems that it worked.
"The lights are on! Good work, honey! I'll freshen up a bit and start settling in!" yelled Alice.
"Okay! I'll look around a bit!" Yelled back Wake.
"Sure thing! Have fun!" Said Alice.

Twenty minutes later...

The sun was already setting. It was beautiful place.
I told myself I could rest here – sleep here-- and forget about my work.
I looked at the cabin window and saw Alice blowing me a kiss. I blew one back.
I thought we could be happy here.
