Weddings can be pretty in pink

Choosing pink for your wedding doesn't have to be old-fashioned - careful choices in shades and accessories such as wedding favours can bring pink into the 21st century.
Far from being old fashioned, pink is still extremely popular as a Wedding colour scheme. Many brides now choose to either combine it with another colour, such as chocolate brown, or opt for a more unusual shade of pink like cerise, hot pink or a deep antique pink.

Since pink has always been a popular colour, accessorising a pink wedding is made a little easier: wedding flowers can be obtained all year round in every shade of pink from pale carnations to rich pink tulips and violets. For Christmas weddings, you can even find Poinsettias in pink!

When it comes to decorating your wedding tables, the choice available in suitable colours is varied: scatter petals, feather and glitter butterflies, paper flowers, favour bags, favour boxes, ribbons and many more.

Use a pink satin or organza ribbon to tie around napkins to add some colour, or have pretty pink wedding favours at each table setting. Another simple yet effective idea is to have a bowl of pink sugared almonds or dragees on each table, so your wedding guests can help themselves.

If you feel like being decadent why not serve pink champagne?!

Remember, a pink wedding doesn’t have to be a Barbie affair – careful choices in shades and accessories can bring the romance of a pink wedding into the 21st century.
