Wedding Photo Directional Tips and Advice

Your wedding day is special. You and your wedding party are looking picture perfect. You already know that photos of your wedding are a reflection of your perfect day; so why not make your photos the center of your pre and post wedding bliss.

For new and exciting, fun twists on wedding photos, just follow these simple suggestions.

If you are getting married inside, a nice collage of photos of you and your future spouse would look great on an easel at the entrance to the room in which your vows will be exchanged. Be sure to decorate the easel board with colored markers, stickers, cut outs and any other page enhancements you may find from your local craft or scrap booking store.

At the rehearsal dinner and the reception, place disposable cameras on each of the tables and encourage the guests to take pictures of the festivities. Not only will they capture the fun on film that you were not able to witness, but the photos will make great gifts to copy and frame for friends and family on special occasions.

Make sure to ask your photographer for an additional set of photos or to put your photos on disk so that you may print them yourself from your local printer. You will have your original copy for your keepsake wedding album while the second set will make fun additions to smaller photo albums that you can dress up and give to friends and family as well.

Making party favors out of photos is always fun! Choose a picture of you and your soon to be spouse and have your photos put on a t-shirt, mug, keychain, button, puzzles, M&M’s, etc., the possibilities are endless! Give favors to guests, your wedding party or just enjoy them with your new spouse.

If you are having an outside wedding, have miniature photos made up from your printer with each of your names, date married, place married and email listed below the photo and tie them to balloons filled with helium so that you may release them after the ceremony. This beautiful color display looks fun and festive with a beach wedding but any outdoor themed wedding will work just nicely.

Dressing up your photos is fun, easy and inexpensive. Afraid you’re not creative enough? Don’t worry because your local craft and scrap booking store have experienced staff that is always ready to help you bring out your inner creativity!

Some stores even offer scrap booking classes where you learn multiple techniques in presenting your photos. Be sure to ask for acid free supplies as this will increase the life of your beautiful pages throughout the years so when you are ready to pass down the photo album to the lucky recipient, you can be assured that the pages will look as beautiful then as they did when you first put them together.
