Wedding Invitation Cards
Everything you need to know about wedding invitation cards.
Finalizing the Guest List for the Wedding Invitation Cards
Even before you start thinking about which sort of invitation cards to get, or what message you write in it, you need to think of the number of cards you are going to require. Well that brings you to the part where you decide about the people you want to invite at the wedding. Sit together and finalize the guest list. Make sure you don’t miss out any important people, old friends and relatives. Consult your family and close friends if you want their inputs regarding the guest list. Finalize the guest list and always leave a margin for some extra cards for last minute invitations that you think of later. The number of extra cards will of course depend on the size of your guest list.
The Content of the Wedding Invitation Cards
Now, that you’ve finalized the design for your wedding invitation card, you need to figure out what to write in it. Basically, it is very important to keep the content sweet and short. Most importantly, mention the names of the people who are tying the knot, the wedding venue and of course the date and time of the ceremony. It is always a very nice gesture to provide your guests with a map of the wedding venue. In case you want to add a touch of poetry to the content of your wedding invitation card, then you can add a verse or two from your favorite poem.
Designing the Wedding Invitation Cards
You can either pick out wedding invitation cards from the ready made varieties, or get a do-it-yourself kit. Designing your own wedding cards can be a fun option if you have enough time on hand. The key to make your wedding invitation cards elegant and simple lies in the amount of simplicity you maintain. A wedding invitation card has to be simple, elegant and of course filled with love. In case you are trying to make your invitation cards innovative, try and club the card with some wonderful add-ons like candy, mints or even candles and potpourri. Instead of the regular rectangular or circular paper cards, think of different shapes and various other materials. Think of innovative ways in which you could sent out the invitations, of course these ways need to fit your budget as well.
Wedding Invitation Cards Etiquettes
Always send the wedding invitation cards well in advance so that the guests have enough time to respond back to you and confirm their presence, so that you can go ahead with the further preparations. Always make it a point to include RSVP cards, which the guests can send back to you and let you know whether they will be attending your wedding. In case you have a gift registry, mention it in the invitation. In case your wedding invitation cards do not get replies from some of the guests, make it a point to call them up and ask.
