We Miss You

Soccer, March 25th, 2010.
The field was crowded with people cheering on the team.
You played great.
Who would’ve known that would be the last game you’d play.

March 26th, 2010, 3:10 PM.
You and your friend ran across Durant road.
You both got hit by that car.
You took your last breath that day.

July 2004.
We were going home from the pool.
You pushed me out of the way of that car.
You took the hit for me.

Now,
Only one question still remains.
Did you take the hit for her?
If you did, I wish you didn’t.

Every day I look back and think of everything we did.
Swimming, soccer, hanging out, long summer nights.
You’ve only been gone for 11 months and 13 days
350 days seems like a lifetime.

As time passes, I never forget.
I promise I never will.
You were like a sister to me.
