Ways to Make Inexpensive Christmas Gifts

Candy Treats
Here is an interesting way to make a yummy treat that looks good as well. Buy some mint chocolate and candy canes from a local sweet shop. Hang the candies on the rim of a glass. Place an aromatic candle in the center and put the glass on a candle base. This is a cute homemade gift idea that can be used when you have less time on hand.

Homemade Christmas Ornaments
Christmas ornaments look pretty to give as gifts. This is a great idea for an inexpensive yet meaningful Christmas gift. Make a cute angel for the tree with these steps.

What you will need
Round seashell (1 large)
Gold ribbon (1/2 inch)
Gold rope string
Hot glue and sticks
Gold paint and paint brush
Mini ornament (the angel will hold this)
Button (pearly button - 3/4th inch - also depends upon the seashell)

Instructions
First, you need to paint the button. Draw dots for eyes and nose and a curve for the mouth. Try a good color scheme. For example, you can use gold paint on a white surface. Let this paint dry. Next, tie the ribbon into a bow shape to form the wings. Cut the gold string to a length of about 3 inches or as required. This will form the arms of the angel. Now, cut the gold string to a length of 6 inches, which is to be used to hang the ornament on the tree.

Use hot glue to fix the middle portion of the 3-inch string to the backside and the top area of the seashell. Use glue to fix the button of the top portion of the seashell. Next, use hot glue on the hanger string and make sure you glue it on the backside of the button. Adjust the strings that represent the arms to the required length. Now, you need to place the mini ornament within the arms. You can use a heart or even a mini instrument. Use glue to fix arms on both sides to make it look like the angel is holding the mini ornament.

Christmas Card Holder

What you will need
Large green poster board
Small yellow poster board
Hole punch
Ribbon
Scissors
Glue
Heavy tape (optional)
Large colored clothespins/plastic paper clips

Instructions
Cut a shape of a triangle from the green poster board. Then, cut a small shaped yellow star out of the other poster board. Use glue to fix the star on top of the green colored triangle. With some more glue, affix the paper clips on the green triangle that forms the Christmas tree. Once it dries, punch a hole through the poster board exactly at the portion where the tree and the star meet. Now, use a ribbon and pass it through the hole. Tie the ribbon into a knot. Paint the tree as per your ideas. This inexpensive Christmas gift can be used to hang the Christmas cards on the paper clips. Children would love to receive and make this gift.

Attractive Snow Globe
I always love snow globes. These easy steps will help you to make your own.

What you will need
Old jars with lids
Glue gun
White rocks or marbles
Water
Food coloring (optional)
Plastic Christmas figures (available with hobby stores)
White glitter and/or white confetti (avoid paper confetti)

Instructions
First, you need to wash the jar and dry it completely. Use glue to fix the figures to the inside of the jars. Fill the jar with cold water but leave around 1/3rd inch on the top. Blue food coloring can be added into the water. This will represent the sky. Add the glitter along with the confetti. Apply hot glue on the insides of the rim of the jar and seal it with the lid.

These different ways to make inexpensive Christmas gifts will spread the joy and cheer of Christmas. Be creative and have fun making homemade gifts this Christmas season.
