Ways to Lose Belly Fat
While most of us aren't entirely happy with our physical appearance, among the common reasons for discontent, belly fat seems to top the list. Use these ways to lose belly fat to improve your body image.

Exercise Everyday
The fastest way to lose belly fat, and the healthiest, is to perform exercises that will help you burn fat. Running, jogging, aerobics, climbing stairs and rope jumping are very effective, as are playing sports such as basketball and football. Other fat burning activities include rollerblading and taekwondo. Don't be fooled into believing tummy exercises (such as crunches) will help you lose belly fat. While, it is beneficial to perform them, they will work to tighten and tone your stomach muscles, which will be visible once the fat that covers them is burned. The time you need to spend exercising to see results, is an hour every day.
Eat a Healthy Diet
Also claimed to be the quickest way to lose weight, a healthy diet, bereft of fatty foods is not just effective in helping you lose the belly fat, but also improves your overall health. The diet you maintain should include fruits, fish, vegetables, eggs, whole grains, beans, low-fat dairy, nuts, seeds, lean meat and poultry. While everyone needs some fat in their diet to stay healthy, ensure that the fats you include are the healthy ones, such as canola oil, peanut oil and olive oil. Also include foods rich in omega 3 essential fatty acids, and those that contain antioxidants.
Eat Whole Grains
According to a study that appeared in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, a diet rich in whole grain, where the calorie intake was controlled, helped subjects of the study to lose tummy fat. These participants consumed all whole grains along with three servings of low-fat dairy, five servings of fruits and vegetables, and two servings of lean meat/fish/poultry. The explanation of this phenomenon is that a reduction in refined carbohydrates, and an increase in whole grains causes a change in the glucose and insulin response, which consequently increase the mobility of the fat stores.
Sleep Sufficiently & Lower Stress
A well-known fact is that people who sleep for less than four hours every night, have much higher chances of being overweight. This is because lack of sleep lowers leptin, which is the protein that suppresses appetite, and informs the brain when your stomach is full. Less sleep also impedes your body's production of insulin, which controls blood sugar. In stressful situations, our bodies release adrenaline, cortisol and insulin. This enables weight gain as high cortisol levels are associated with increased appetite and fat production, and this fat typically finds its way to the belly area.
If you've been struggling with losing the belly fat, here's a piece of good news. The scientific experts say that when you begin to lose weight, the first place from where it is likely to dissipate is the abdomen area. And better yet, the more belly fat you have to lose, the quicker you will see results. There is no magic formula for the quickest way to lose belly fat. With consistent exercise and the will power to stick to your healthy diet, a flat tummy is an achievable goal. So, utilize these simple ways to lose belly fat, and begin your weight loss journey.
