Water Beauty - Chapter 3
Hey I hope you like this one!!! I tried to add more detail but I only have a certain amount of time because I have to do it at school cause I don't have internet at home.
"Is you're mom bringing us, Justin?" I said curiously
"Yeah... that's why we asked you!" we all laughed
"Ok well yeah I can bring us no problem."
"Well I'll see you two later," Bell said. She kissed Justin then left towards her first class of her last day.
"So... Alina are you ready for our last test in English class!?"
"You bet Justin! Are you ready for it?" I say sheepishly, Justin's not very good in English, especially English.
"Yup cause I got the best and smartest tutor in the world." He said looking at me.
"Oh stop, I'm not that smart!"
"Please you have like an A+++ in every class!"
"Well... blah. You're smart too!" I saw emphasizing on the smart.
"Maybe, but not compared to you. I mean you don't even have to try and you still get good grades, you are valedictorian for goodness sake. And, to top it all off, you're beautiful. You were Prom queen or did you forget that already?!" he said this as if he were a mix of angry, jealous, amazed, and something else I couldn't put a word to.
"Stop, you're making me blush. I still can't believe Andrew Farmton won Prom King." Andrew Farmton was obviously gorgeous and the captain of the football team. I still remember when he asked me out sophomore year. He came up to me at one of the prep rally's, he must have thought that if he asked me in front of everyone then I would say yes, but, I know it may sound mean but I didn't like him that way, when he asked me out I said no. I laughed at the memory
We walked into English and sat at our desks (They were right next to each other) On our desks was our test, 3 pages front and back! I'm guessing he wanted us to start right away.
"Good luck," I whispered to Justin.
"Year you too, not that you'll need it."
I giggled and started my test. 20 minutes later I was done. When I handed it into Mr.Helderman he looked at me with the widest look I've ever seen him give me, I'd thought he would be used to me passing everything in early.
"Well Alina, did you even take your time to read the questions?"
"Yup, I thought very hard on all of them. It took me forever to finish it."
"You finished in 20 minutes!"
"See, that's a long time"
"Ok well stay right there and I'll grade it now and we'll see how hard you actually tried." He said the last part quietly but not quiet enough for me not to hear.
He started grading my test, I looked over at Justin, he was staring at me and whipped his had as if to say "wow this test is hard!" I nodded back in agreement. I meant it too, it was difficult. It's just that Water Beauty's can absorb information really fast and think really fast. But I do try really hard, honest!
10 minutes later he looks up at me after grading my test, I told you it was a long test, his eyes were wider then they were before he graded it.
"I failed, didn't I?" I say sheepishly
"No far from it. I've never seen anyone get a perfect 150 before." The grading at our school was different.
I smiled because I was relieved, "Umm... can I leave now?"
"Oh, yeah, sure. Good job Alina, I'll be expecting big things from you."
"Thanks I'll try my hardest!"
By now Justin had finished his test and turned it in. so when I grabbed my bag, we left for the Cafe.
"Wow that test was difficult."
"Yeah I know, so how do you think you did Justin."
"Well, I know it is not a perfect 150," He said looking at me with a grin on his face, "But I think I passed."
"Yeah I totally thought I got at most a 120, but I never expected to get a 150!"
"Please you always get a perfect score."
Well, I do study, you know so it is not like I don't try," I say defensively
"Yeah I know that, it is just other people don't. You remember Mrs.Nulty, "he paused, waiting for me to respond so I nodded, "well she thought you cheated on everything"
"Wow well I didn't. I've never cheated on anything in my life! I guess it's just a gift"
"Yeah it's a really great gift."
I smiled up at him and we continued with the rest of our last day!
"Yeah... that's why we asked you!" we all laughed
