Watch Eclipse During My Travel in China
I travel to Wuhan, and witness the wonderful solar eclipse. The excitement is an unforgettable experience.
Wuhan is metropolitan city and almost the largest one in the middle part of China. Every time I travel from Los Angles, I will drop in this city. As an American, I appreciate the prosperity and vigor of this city. What is more, I am a lucky dog, for this time, I have got the valuable chance to witness the longest solar eclipse of the twenty-first century. The eclipse, as know to ever person, is caused when the moon moves directly between the sun and the earth, covering it completely to cast a shadow on earth. What is the most wonderful is that this time the eclipse lasted for almost 4 minutes. Many eclipse watchers became extremely thrilled as the sky gradually darkened for about 4 minutes. At that moment, the whole is shrouded in complete darkness, just as at night.
Myriads of amateur stargazers also came to China from rest of the world to China for observation of the longest total solar eclipse. I met a young couple carrying cameras and some pieces of queer and professional equipment to watch the eclipse. They told me they heard the coming of the eclipse several weeks ago and flied directly to the optimal watching site.
"We want to take the chance; it is very wonderful and exciting", the young couple said to me.
"It is virtually a rarest moment, I heard that the eclipse can happened regularly one time every five hundred years, so I got very early this morning and came to the square to join the group of watchers". An old man said to me excitedly.
Among the large crowds of people, I saw some volunteer environmentalist, a body of students from a local key university. They were wearing T shirts and blue jeans, with a red cap on everyone’s head. I also notice everyone is wearing silicone wristbands, just like those silicone wristbands we can buy in a NIKE shop. I like the material, color and slogan of those lovely accessories. Afterwards, I found the shop and also bought some lanyards (online shop www.ybuw.com) to attach to my MP4 and digital camera.
