Wars

We have a lot more wars then we think. How would we feel if they affected us? Maybe they have. Well I wrote this after watching a movie about a war.
Wars;
We study them in history books
Yet we don’t realize how bad it is until we see it in a movie
We visit memorials
Yet we don’t know exactly what happened
We read books
But can never know how those people felt
We watch the news
But don’t feel sorrow unless someone we know is involved
We don’t know the impact on family or friends
Unless we are one
We’ll never know…
Unless we go.
Now I understand the cost of freedom…
Because freedom is not free.
