Warcraft Wealth Review - Is the Warcraft Wealth Gold Guide Worth Getting?
Warcraft Wealth is the newest gold guide available for World of Warcraft and inside you'll find a thorough review of what is included in the guide and whether it is worth spending your money on.
You might wonder with so many WoW gold guides available, which one should you pick, so let's take a look at Warcraft Wealth in particular so you can see the pros and cons. I've had a pretty good chance to review Warcraft Wealth thoroughly so I think I can help you make an honest assessment of whether you need it or not.
What makes Warcraft Wealth different from some of the other gold guides currently available for WoW is it is written by someone who used to sell WoW gold. Heck, I bet he is still selling it since obviously there's a lucrative market for it. Fortunately, the author, Wayne Williams, has decided to let us in on some of the gold selling secrets to help just regular players make more gold and you know we all need more of that.
So is Wayne's Gold Guide any good?
Yep, I think Warcraft Wealth is pretty excellent, despite its relative brevity. Warcraft Wealth is quite a bit shorter than some of the other guides currently available, but that's only if you count the advanced gold guide. With all the bonuses and the Noob guide, it actually comes out to quite a bit longer. It also has a lot of info packed into it, with specifics on where to find more gold and loads of screen caps so you can see exactly where to go.
What about the bonuses?
The three bonuses are the Mining Maps walk-throughs, the Auction House videos and the Basics Guide. Both the mining maps and the auction house videos are designed to help you get more gold to put in your bags. The mining maps, in particular is a big time saver because you can basically use it to go on a gold running quest just for the purposes of mining more loot, totally skipping regions that aren't worth the bother. If you are several hundred gold away from upgrading your mount, it would be worthwhile to use the mining maps to just take a few hours one night to mine your butt off.
As for the auction house videos, Wayne uses that to show you exactly how he works the Auction House. I found it very handy because I'm visual and I like to see what someone is actually doing rather than just reading along and trying to work it out based on what he's said.
And finally, there's the WoW basics guide. If you are new to World of Warcraft you should find it incredibly handy and it will help you get up in running with WoW and avoid some of the pitfalls in the early levels that can hold you back later. Also, it has lots of gold tips in it too, so even if you've been playing WoW for awhile, I'd look over the Basics guide instead of skipping straight to the Advanced gold guide, just to make sure there aren't any hints and tricks you don't know already.
What are the Cons of Wayne's Warcraft Wealth?
Well, as I said earlier, Wayne's advanced gold guide is quite a bit shorter than some other gold guides available. It's 56 pages long. However, the basics guide adds another 41 pages. And then there are the videos which I think are invaluable. But if you are the type of person who really doesn't want to be sitting there watching video, you might want to try another guide instead. I personally like having a video walk-through of the Auction House, but your mileage may vary.
The only other potential downside is the Basics guide. If you're already a WoW expert, that might be 41 pages you don't need. But I don't think it is really any different than other guides that sell their guides just as one book rather than breaking it down into two. All of the gold guides include a lot of Noob tips at the beginning of the guide, which if you don't need it can be annoying.
On the other hand, if you are new to WoW or just never really felt like you were playing your best game possible, then the Basics guide may be exactly what you need. Even if it isn't, you have to weigh that against the value of the advanced level gold guide and the auction house videos and mining maps. Those may just kick Wayne's Warcraft Wealth guide into "must buy" territory.
If you're ready to make a lot more gold and want to make the most of the auction house and mining areas, then you'll want to get the Warcraft Wealth Guide.
