War of Roses ~ Preview

Holly ran as hard as she could. Her feet pounded the soft mossy ground as she did. She didn't know what she was running from. She just knew she had to get away or she would die. She dodged trees and branches, some scraping her arms as she passed. She could see a light in the distance. It shot rays through the trees. The light was so bright Holly couldn't see what was beyond it. She came closer. She made herself run faster desperate to get to the light. She sprinted through the last trees and... she was through! Holly didn't understand something. Everything around her was blurred. She felt like she was... Falling! She had run of a cliff and was now plummeting down towards an endless ocean. Holly felt like she was moving in slow motion. The drop took forever and then she hit the water. It engulfed her and pulled her down towards the dark and deep floor. She tried screaming and swimming but it was no use. She was losing air. Holly began to feel weak and her lungs were screaming with pain for oxygen. Just before she blacked out she saw a splash above her. Holly's eyes closed and everything went black.
