The firing ceases, they raise the mast
The war ends
It ends at last
Some gape, some gasp
Everything stops
As a million souls fly past
We could keep the peace, it could start today
But we do not, because some leaders say
It's too expensive, and too much trouble to properly mend
So this is sadly, not the end
Another war will begin again
