Want to Contact Gamers You've Met on X-Box Live or Playstation 3?

Contacting fellow Xbox or Playstation gamers using an email search may prove difficult but it may be possible depending on the information you have.
Anyone who has an Xbox Live or a Playstation 3 knows how much fun these entertainment systems can be. Not only can you enjoy many great games, but you can also watch movies and access the Internet. Having the ability to go online with these video game consoles is very exciting because it not only allows players to download free and commercial game-software or add-ons, but you can also communicate and/or play certain video-games with other X-box or PS3 users on line.

If you are new to these systems you may not know how to go about contacting fellow gamers. Below are four different tips you should keep in mind to help you with this process:

Tip 1 - Read the instructions - The console you purchased would have come with an instruction manual that should tell you everything you need to know about setting it up, gaining access to the net and how to contact other users.

Tip 2 - Make sure you are connected to the web. In order to find, message or play a game with someone you need to have access to the World Wide Web. This means you must have a working connection set up wherever you intend to play.

Tip 3 - Find out what their username is. You need to know the precise spelling and the type of characters (I.E. letters, numbers, etc.) the person has used to create their ID. This is important because there may be many users with similar names. Since it is very possible to add the wrong person to your friend’s list, you should write a small message saying who you are just in case you have notified the wrong individual.

Tip 4 - Lookup their name with an email search to learn more info. Although you are never provided with a gamers’ personal information, including their real name, e-mail, etc. should you ever want to learn more about them, you can use the details you do know and try searching their name (if they have given it to you), user-name in an email search to see if you can find them.

Finally, keep in mind that VG consoles are not primarily used as a way to communicate with others but are for entertainment purposes. Therefore, don’t expect these machines to provide you with insightful information about other game players.
